Upon receiving this horn I was a bit nervous because I’ve never played on this specific brand before and when i pulled the horn out and started playing i was very impressed in the overall sound and response! Definitely worth getting, everything fully functional outstanding case as well. I was most impressed with the mouthpiece as well, it doesn’t say the exact size but MAN its the perfect size MP for my flugelhorn. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this horn!!!! Can’t wait to start performing and recording with this horn!!! I’d personally give this horn a 10 star rating

I am loving this flugelhorn. My wife and daughter got it for me for Father’s Day. I play most of the brass instruments but flugelhorn has always been my favorite instrument, though I never owned one. I love the hauntingly mellow sound of it. I never wanted to compromise and get a cheaper one but there was always something else the money needed to go toward instead. The quality craftsmanship of this flugelhorn rivals that of Yamaha and Bach.
The valves are very smooth. The sound is beautiful. I love the design of the trigger for the tuning slide.
Not only does it sound and feel excellent, but the craftsmanship is beautiful. The use of red brass on the front part of the tubing makes a gorgeous contrast to the yellow brass. The accents of silver make this instrument worthy of display.
The case is a tough cloth vinyl sort of material with some sort of foam rubber on the inside (tastefully covered with black velvet). It has a shot for two mouthpieces and a zippered pocket on the outside that is the perfect size for music books. One of the only complaints I have about anything is that there are a couple of spots in the upper molding of the case to accommodate valve oil and cleaning clothes but they are clumsy because they are on the upper part and not the bottom. It makes it so that they fall when you close or open the case. The other case complaint is that the carry handle is coated with PU leather which means that in a year or so it will start to peel. It is a decent case and does a great job of keeping the instrument safe, just not very convenient for storing some of the things I am used to keeping in the case.
I’ll round out the review by saying that it came with a nice cleaning cloth, white gloves for the cleaning, valve oil, and straps to use the case like a backpack (a nice touch for students perhaps).
I love the instrument and the price is an incredible deal for the quality.

I should mention I got this for a quarter of the price as an open box from amazon warehouse. It was in pristine condition. It works really well. The valves are smooth and I am a beginner. If you play fast I am not sure as to how the action is but this is a good beginner to intermediate instrument. The sound is nice. It could be a tab better but it is very good! a nice bright sound. Mellow sound. The case is ok nothing special. The mouthpiece is good for someone with thinner lips. I am buying another mouthpiece you may want to as well for an upgrade but the pone included is good. all of the parts move smoothly and effortlessly. I absolutely love it. Very pretty, nice sound, ease of use.

I have no complaints. It is a great instrument that is easy to play and has a beautiful warm tone. The mouthpiece it comes with is not an extremely impressive piece of kit but it does a great job. 10/10 would recommend to any brass player.

After terrible tracking and delivery service by the USPS I finally got my flugelhorn.
When opening the case it was very neat and everything was very well protected. The instrument itself is 100% as seen in the photos. The only thing wrong was the valves were switched and I had to have help figuring that out because I was already frustrated and not thinking clearly. Once I got the valves corrected, it sounded extremely beautiful and after oiling the valves, the valves were very smooth and all the slides were pre-greased and were moving effortlessly. Very easy to tune and play since I have played the trumpet for 10+ years. If you are a beginner and want to try something before buying a professional horn, this is the closest thing that you can get at a very reasonable price. I put 5 stars because even though the valves were switched that was a very easy fix and the shipping issues were not on their part.

My trumpet playing son wanted to purchase a flugelhorn with his birthday money. He wanted this one but didn’t have enough $. He picked out another one that he could afford with iffy reviews. I found this horn as an Amazon return for HALF the original price, listed as in acceptable condition. Since it still had free returns, we decided to try this one. It looked pristine! But when he went to play it, it didn’t. He inspected it and found valves 1 and 3 where swapped. Also, the piston gauge on one valve was installed incorrectly. He popped it into place and it plays perfectly now. The only complaint is the buttons make a clanking sound when playing it. I think we can install some felt around the buttons to repair that.
