My daughter is about the same size as me. She soaked in it after a hard day at work. She loved it. She said it was a little too tall for her, but it was relaxing and it worked for her. i am 5ft 4 about 125lbs. we both fit comfortably with plenty of room to spare. I did wash it out with dawn dish soap before using. The set up was pretty easy. I just had to figure out when pumping up the tube at the top you want to close the first piece of the plug and put the pump in it or else when it starts getting full it will shoot the pump out. Once I figured it out it was pretty easy. If folded back up nicely everything fits perfectly in the carry bag that came with it. I included a picture of how long the hose included extends out.

I’ve seen these portable tubs for awhile now and thought they weren’t really that awesome. I’m more of a permanent install guy, plus not a huge fan of something pliable like this when it needs to be consistently cleaned.
Well all those reasons are exactly why I haven’t had a cold plunge of my own yet! I’ve cold plunged in my bathtub but it’s not great, I just simply cannot compress my body enough to get fully submerged. I do cold showers as well, but that feels like a cheap version of a true plunge. So I finally realized that sometimes you just have to get what works to get the ball rolling!
In comes this unit. Given my height, I figured it would be better to get as large a size as I can, and with this one being 100 gallons, it’s among the biggest of this style I’ve come across. I can comfortably sit Indian style or with my knees up towards my chest. I don’t feel cramped in the slightest and I actually have a good deal of room to move around even fully submerged. That said, I am also pretty thin at 180 lbs and have great flexibility. If you were my same height but more like 280 lbs and not that flexible, then you’re not going to have a good time in this tub.
Upon assembly, I was a little skeptical this thing would hold up. After filling it and using it for 10 days straight, those concerns are gone and I can attest to the build quality. One thing I’d recommend is to inflate the top ring so it’s fully taught and circular before adding water. I’ve seen a lot of reviewer’s photos that are underinflating the ring so much that it’s creased and folded in on itself. A properly inflated ring also means a better fitting dust cover and better support while in use – especially if you lean your head back on it. Also, be sure to clean with soap BEFORE filling and using it. I didn’t do this and had a nice oil slick layer of manufacturing gunk on the water’s surface. The water felt and smelled way better after cleaning the tub thoroughly. Don’t overfill either, start with the water 8 or 10″ below the top and then get in. You can always add more, but it’s a real mess if you waterfall a bunch over the sides! Ask me how I know lol.
When you look at the pictures, you’ll see that the drain ball valve has raised lettering on one side but is smooth on the other. Be sure to place the smooth side against the gasket and tub, otherwise you risk a compromised seal. I especially enjoy the detailed engineering that went into making sure that when tight, the ball valve is upright and accessible, bravo!
Overall, it’s not my ideal cold plunge situation, but for what it is, it works fantastic! Just be mindful that it’s a temporary/portable piece of equipment and you’ll get a lot of use out of it.
