the only thing I dislike is that the speaker wires could have been longer.
It’s a bit of a challenge to figure out how to work it but I love it.

When wife’s old CD player stopped working searched for replacement, this very reasonably priced player has good sound loud enough if needed to force you out of Bathroom. The Remote is very thorough volume, cd controls, radio presets, surprising all the features included. Happy Wife, happy life…

The unit looks great on the wall, it was easy to mount with the template to follow as to where to put the holes. As it’s not a heavy unit, I just put little nails in the wall as if I were hanging a picture and put the unit on those nails. The unit plays well, looks sharp and sounds very good. The instructions are very clear on how to program in stations, no problems at all. However, the remote control SUCKS big time. You practically have to be directly right in front of the unit and no more than 12 inches away for it to work. Even when sitting at my desk, 4 feet from the unit, slightly to the side, the remote does not work. This is very very inconvenient when I have to answer the phone at my desk and have to get up out of my chair and go over to the radio to turn the volume down using the remote. The remote SUCKS. If you can live with that, I’d recommend purchasing this unit.

I wanted a compact AM/FM/CD unit I could use to listen to music through headphones while reading in bed. This Jensen is adequate for my purposes. It’s easy to set up and operate and doesn’t take up a lot of space. It pulls in plenty of stations on FM; anything within a 50-plus mile radius comes in quite well even though the little attached wire isn’t the most sophisticated antenna. AM reception is mediocre, but in my area, there’s not much on AM that I care about. CDs play properly and sound good. The supplied remote control is full-featured, but the plastic coating on the buttons is already flaking off after only a week of use. Sound through the supplied speakers is about average quality for an inexpensive table radio– a bit restricted at the high and low ends. Through good headphones, the sound is much better. When the set is first turned on and FM is in use, there are some soft popping noises that fade away after a minute or two, and stations may drift a bit off frequency durring the first few minutes of operation. The time is only displayed when the set is turned on, so it can’t take the place of a bedside clock. I’m using the supplied stand rather than having it wall-mounted; at eye-level, it’s impossible to read the display. It’s necessary to stand up and look down at the little round display window to read the time or frequency displayed. This set won’t compete with a quality stereo receiver and CD player used with full-range speakers, but for a low-priced system, it’s not bad. I’d rate it at three and a half stars.

Love that it could be mounted. Speakers sound great. Volume control is good. Does a good job picking up local radio stations – some as far away as 50 miles. Directions for programming were easy to understand. Love that it has a remote so you don’t have to walk up to it to change stations or volume. BUT you do have to make sure you are in line of sight of the remote eye on the radio.

I hate dealing with returns simply because I don’t have enough time in the day.
The sound is there but it’s definitely a lesson in pay a little more to have something user friendly and and better sound quality, I don’t recommend this radio if you like something with base and is user friendly.
The buttons don’t work right and they don’t respond. Yes, I read the instructions booklet, no it didn’t help.

Me encantó que se fija en la pared, pequeño, lindo y funcional, sonido aceptable tomando en cuenta q es un minicomponente y el precio muy accesible
. Únicamente le falta Bluetooth. Buena relación calidad- precio.

Because it can be mounted on the wall it saves counter space, a considerable benefit in our kitchen. The remote works well, but honestly the sound is not high quality. We enjoy putting on a CD for dinner, but the CD controls take some experimentation.

Hard to add much to the previous reviews. This radio was bought for the kitchen/ dining room for general use and “ambience”. Not much is expected. It just has to sound “decent” and provide the basic functions. In that regard it does just fine, or excells. Perhaps what is of note is that it doesn’t do anything “wrong”. That is, for price/ performance there is little to complain about. The radio/ combo works well. Personally, I do not like the blue back lights. Other than that, it does the job just fine. What comes out of the stock speakers sounds just fine, and there is plenty of volume. The remote has all the functions you would want. For the price and the performance, I have no complaints. Pay more; perhaps ypu’ll get more (better speakers, more audio, etc), but I suspect you’ll pay a LOT more. Over all, it looks good, operates without much learning curve and sounds good or at least decent. Yes, I’d recommend it. At the end of the day you’ll get a fair bit of function, and a decent AM/FM CD player that does the job. Recommended.
