I picked up an old yerf dog go kart for free last year, and have been working on it trying to get it running. The go kart had been sitting outside uncovered for a few years. Well after doing some engine stuff and getting it to at least fire up, fuel was the next issue. The tank was rusted out from the inside and just about worthless. Since this is a long term project I wasn’t worried about finding parts in a hurry. After scouring the internet and finding replacements that were a little pricey I came across this. Perfect fit! Brand new tank with all the filters and roll over valves I needed. Absolutely a great deal. This tank will probably work on numerous models of predators engines so just check your model number and be sure. But for me it worked great.

You never know if you’re going to get what you think you need when it comes to small engine parts. The original gas tank had gotten condensation in the tank and rusted. A quick search on Amazon for a compatible replacement showed a couple of options. He motor is the Harbor Freight Predator 6.5 hp horizontal shaft on my old Troybilt tiller. This tank appeared to have the correct fittings and mounting points. I received it, opened it and saw the parts that came with it. New fuel line, hose clamps, rubber washers, nuts, bolt. And get this: A spark plug! Although I didn’t use it, I thought it was nice to have since the installed spark plug was in the way of the mounting bolt for the tank. Imagine going through all the trouble of replacing the tank and in that process you accidentally break the ceramic on the spark plug because you didn’t use the right tools to tighten the tank bolt. Yep. A trip to the parts store to get a replacement or order one from Amazon and wait for the part before you get to run the motor. I have a spare plug now. Thanks for adding the spark plug to the kit for the tank. The tank was easy to install. No leaks. Great value. Back in business.
