The title says it all really. I love the product itself. It behaves more like a lip stain once dry but doesn’t dry my lips at all. The 90s neutral is just that, except back then it would’ve been matte. This is a gloss so obviously it’s shiny, but not too shiny. It’s a really nice everyday product, fresh looking without seeming too “done.” The bad. I hate these new gloss pencils like children’s crayons. It’s really messy to apply and it’s not really a product you can use a brush on due to the core. Since it’s so pigmented I wouldn’t dare apply it without a mirror. Years ago the body shop had a similar product (it was really crap and dried one’s lips like the Sahara) but it was easier to apply since the start had been cut like a lip stick which seems to make all the difference. So to sum up, yes, it’s nice but please make it easier to apply neatly.

To be clear- I LOVE this lipstick/gloss/balm. It really is quite a bit more lipstick than it is balm, so be aware that it carries a lot of color on the first swipe. Building it really pushes the color deep in to your lips, and it lasts a long time, and the balm part makes it smooth as silk. It’s the colors that you have to watch out for. I chose the Vamped Up first. I’m a brunette with very light skin. It is very dark, rich, and purple/pink. Later I saw a new color- Black Cherry. It looked slightly more reddish. Less pink, anyway. When I got it and put it on, I thought oh, I must have grabbed the Vamped Up again by mistake. Nope! To check, I swiped both on my arm, the way the ad shows how the colors will look different. I laughed to see that they were exact! It’s fine, because it’s a very flattering color, but don’t expect red tones.
Also, I’m not sure why some reviewers complain about the packaging. You have to push the top back on until you hear a CLICK. That’s when it’s on! Nothing is falling off in your purse/bag, as long as you clicked it.
There is no scent to the product, as far as I can tell. No flavor either.
I’ve been using it for a few months, and I find my lips are as moisturized as if I’d been using Burt’s Bees, so I really like this product and will be buying again.

Overall, this is an excellent lip product. I bought the canyon rose first and really liked it. Great consistency and the color was perfect. I decided to purchase a couple of different colors and I ended up with Rich Plum and Island Blossom. They looked great on the website and on the lips they showed. They were delivered today and they look nothing like those pictures. They are both almost the same color and extremely dark. That is not what I was going for at all. In the future, I’m going to stick with my. Very disappointed in the website description on these two. I am going to keep one of them, the other one is going in the garbage. So buyer beware, what you purchase may not be what you get.

Smooth like butter! It really is! It glides on so smoothly and feels really light and moisturizing. It’s not sticky at all! Love the way it feels. I got the Shimmer Dusty Orchid and it’s the perfect natural shade for me. Giving my lips but better. Great product for hydrating your lips and creating a natural look.

Love this brand of lipstick this is my second time purchasing the colors are very nice and last all day goes on super smooth and make your lips feel very moisturized. I will say I do usually buy when they are on sale because they are a little pricey when not on sale!

I ordered Dusty Orchid Shimmer on a whim. I don’t usually spend $14.95 on lip color at this point in my life(I used to buy top of the line make up from department stores). I have to say this is a nice product! It’s worth the money because the color is great and flattering, it’s not sticky nor Does it disappear Immediately after you put it on. The color is buildable, but then it comes off more easily. It’s moisturizing and the color lasts if you don’t go crazy with it. There are several colors I’d love to try. But I think I’ll try this one out for longer than a couple of days before I invest in more. But if you feel like treating yourself to a nice moisturizing lip color, I say go for it with this product! I do use a lip liner with it, as with other, sheer Or moisturizing lip products because I’m 56 and my lip outline can use a little boost to keep it neat and keep the color in place. I used a neutral Sephora lip balm with it and it was fine. The color blended and didn’t look weird. It looked natural but finished in attractive way! I don’t like to include photos with my reviews, but if I was going to, this would be a product that I would take a selfie with (If I took selfies regularly and not just to make sure look OK and then delete the photo). I looked too much like my mom and my dad in selfies for my own comfort, even though I’m MUCH thinner than either of them! Too thin to feel comfortable with random photos of myself. Blah, blah, blah!
My point here is that it’s a great product so far and if you want a nice product without going overboard, I highly recommend this. Even without trying it on, and only a photo of the color and some reviews to go on I took a chance and it really was worth it! Normally, I buy Burt’s Bees colored lip balm, but this lip color lasts longer. It doesn’t have the nice minty taste- In fact, it has no discernible taste at all, which I find unusual. No fragrance like Chanel products. No taste like Burt’s Bees etc. Just moisturizing color that stays in place, especially if you use Lip liner because you’re getting a little bit older or you just appreciate a very neat lip outline! 👄

I do like this. The only reason I am giving it 3 stars is that it doesn’t look like it will last very long. I did read the reviews and people had mentioned it got smaller….They were right! It should have been no more than $7 for how much was given. I do like the color and the fact it’s in a pencil format, however; just not enough product. I bought 90’s neutral. Also, it is nice and moisturizing. It’s too bad it’s so small! I probably will not buy more. I will have to wait and see how long it lasts.

No glitter, no shimmer, no plumping… perfect colors for any age lips! I have light medium skin tones and can wear any of these colors. I am a “young” 60+ and appreciate a more natural look to lip wear. I got the variety pack so I can change it up whenever I want. I highly recommend!

If you are wanting the coverage of a lipstick, this is for you, don’t be fooled by the listing of “tinted lip balm” it’s nothing like a lip balm, I would describe it more like if you mixed a lipstick with a lip gloss, it’s not staining at all, and wears off fast. This color cherry wood is very nice
