This toy can keep my cat engaged for a good while! My only suggestion to anyone looking to buy is tho big leave your cat unsupervised with this toy as the string can get stuck around your cat’s neck and proposes a safety risk. The string has gotten caught around my cat’s neck a few times and needed my intervention. Otherwise a very fun toy for my little guy.

Fun toy enjoyed by cats. Unfortunately they chewed through the elastic cord quickly.

My cat is spoiled, doesn’t like most toys. However this one, he loves. When I attach it to a wall and hang, he plays with it sometimes. Most of the time, I detach the rope and mouse from the metal hanger, and just use it as manually. My kitty loves to chase the mouse as I tug it around. Design is great, lightweight, has no smell, and lasts for a long time. Even with all the chewing on the string, it lasts for months.
It’s our favorite toy!

Our new kitten was VERY active and always running and playing. She really likes chasing things across the floor, so I wasn’t sure if she’d go for this. I hung it from a beam in the middle of the room. I made the mouse high enough that she really had to jump for it.
After I got it hung up, I gave it an easy push. She jumped for it and missed entirely. After a couple more tries, she was able to connect maybe 1 out of 3 jumps. She would play with this for more than an hour straight. When she was done, she’d just lay on the floor, completely wore out. Within a week she was getting claws on it 3 out of 4 jumps. This toy really honed her ability to grab moving objects. We had a bat get into the house, but we couldn’t find it. During the night she had grabbed it out of the air and left it on the floor for us. It’s not easy to grab a bat out of the air.
Yes, she eventually broke the elastic and ran off with the mouse. When we found the mouse, I just tied it back on. I think she broke it 4 or 5 times before it wasn’t worth putting back on.
TIP: Remove the eyes before giving it to your cat. Yes, it looks super creepy with no eyes, but the cat doesn’t care and the eyes can pop out and get swallowed. They are hard plastic with a point on one end, so you don’t want your cat chewing on one.

Just hang in the middle of the doorway, and now you have the best kitty sitter that ever was.
Just make sure there’s nothing in the way of a smooth arc.
I recommend this for kitties as a larger or older cat could bring it down in no time.

Adorei! Super fácil de montar. Minha gatinha também gostou. Brincou bastante. Ela puxou. puxou e puxou….a corda não arrebenta.

This has been one of my cat’s favorite toys and it’s nice since we only have one cat so he’s able to play with it by himself. The mice do come off after a while but with how cheap this toy is I don’t even care. We just tie hair ties onto the end of the elastic and he goes bonkers. Elastic has not broken yet; only the mice fall off and even that’s after a while of use. Have not used the metal clamp as we have in o-ring mounted in our door frame, so I can’t speak to how well that works.

I have 2 cats (3 & 4 years old, both very playful) and bought this with the younger in mind. He is very active and can get restless, and loves “fishing pole” type and interactive toys. This was a huge hit with him! (My other cat was also initially very interested, but I think has since been a bit intimidated by the wild ways his brother plays with it.)
We’ve had it for a bit under 3 weeks, and the 3yo cat (pictured) plays with it multiple times a day. Sometimes that’s just laying under it and batting at it… all the way up to carrying the mouse in his mouth, up to 15+ feet away, and letting it wildly spring back. Be sure to hang it in a doorway without any especially fragile items nearby, because of that! (Several times I’ve had to retrieve it after it bounced back so wildly as to get hung up on the door hinges or a nearby object.)
I did find the same issue others have noticed– most doorways are far too wide for the top part to fully grip around, but I hung it somewhat sideways on part of the door frame and it has had no issues staying in place, even with my cat dragging the mouse toy all over our home and then letting it bounce back with force.
This will likely become a go-to gift for anyone I know with a playful young cat.
ETA: if your cat plays with it as wildly as mine does (carrying it off to let it spring back), you’ll find that soon the mouse starts to be “skinned.” I saw that was happening and ordered a 2-pack to have on backup. Today (after just under 2 months of use) I saw that the elastic cord had broken, near the mouse, so put up a replacement. I’ll likely try to add a few stitches to the new ones to help keep the fabric covering from coming off the rattle-y plastic mouse base form as quickly (as if that part had been intact, I could have just re-tied the elastic cord pieces together). Even if it continues to need regular replacement, though, this remains a 5/5 star cat toy for the price and how much regular play and enrichment he gets out of it!

This just didn’t work out for me and my cats. It wasn’t bad bad, but it certainly wasn’t good I think first off what was hard was it barely fit around my door frames – which felt weird, as that was what it was supposed to be for!. The things that held it up also felt cheap which proved true when after a few minutes it was pulled down by light tugging.
Then my cats were just barely interested. I dangled, I bounced it. My tuxedo cat gave it a few swats and walked off, but none of the others paid it any mind. I even pulled it down a bit and tried to wiggle it like their dangle – but no response.
Since at least ONE of them normally responds to everything – it felt a bit disappointing. So went down a star for that, and went down a second star because of how hard it was to get the metal around my door and how cheap it felt.

The life span is a bit short lived because my cats bite through the elastic.
Lots of fun hearing them chitter and run about.

I have an indoor cat and I always get worried that he may not move around enough so I try to do things like throw his treats so he has to run fetch for them, etc. but this particular toy he absolutely loves and he keeps jumping and trying to get it and pulling on it and I know it’s helping him to get exercise in a fun way. I’m just so happy for him. It’s a joy to watch him play!
