Excellent quality

Kaytee sells some stuff that is not safe for guinea pigs (anything with nuts or seeds), but this product is absolutely perfect. My piggies love having these hay cubes in their cage to chew on. It keeps the ones who are a bit too into chewing their hideys from doing just that.
Amazon Customer –
Blocks are very big and hard to break onto smaller sizes. Buns love them but they love them enough to properly fight over them, so I wish they would come in cubes rather than double cube sized oblong.

Used for my chinchilla. Great chew to keep in his cage.

My Guineas’ favorite Kaytee Alfalfa Cubes. I must say, they have become a staple in their diet. These 15 oz cubes are not only nutritious but also incredibly convenient to feed to my small animals.
One of the standout features of these alfalfa cubes is their high nutritional value. They are rich in essential nutrients and fiber, which are vital for the overall health and well-being of rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small animals. The cubes provide a good source of protein and calcium, promoting healthy growth and strong bones.
Feeding the Kaytee Alfalfa Cubes to my pets is a breeze. The cubes are pre-cut into small, bite-sized portions, making it easy to serve the right amount without any hassle. This convenience saves me time and ensures that my pets receive the appropriate portion size, preventing overfeeding.
I appreciate the quality of the alfalfa used in these cubes. The hay is fresh and fragrant, indicating its freshness and nutritional potency. The cubes are compact and dense, which helps minimize waste and makes storage more convenient.
Furthermore, my rabbits and guinea pigs seem to genuinely enjoy these alfalfa cubes. They eagerly nibble on them, which not only provides them with essential nutrients but also serves as a satisfying chew to help keep their teeth in good condition. The cubes offer a great way to promote dental health and provide mental stimulation for my small animals.
The 15 oz size of the package is adequate and offers a good amount of alfalfa cubes for a reasonable price. The cubes last a while, even with multiple small animals in my care, making it a cost-effective choice.
In conclusion, the Kaytee Alfalfa Cubes have proven to be a nutritious and convenient option for feeding my rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small animals. Their high nutritional value, bite-sized portions, and freshness make them an excellent addition to their diet. If you’re looking for a quality alfalfa product that promotes health and offers convenience, I highly recommend giving the Kaytee Alfalfa Cubes a try. Your small animals will thank you for it!

My rabbit is very picky! He absolutely loves the way these taste. I give them to him as a healthy treat. The texture is thick and condensed so they are durable and last a long time. The package is resealable for freshness.

My guy loves having these little cubes in his cage. I add a few at a time in there in different spots so he always has something to nibble on. They are tightly compacted so they last awhile too!

Our Guinea pig has been playing with her hay and dumping it so I thought Iโd try these but they seem to get lost in her cage and she doesnโt pay attention to them to eat. Back to messy jay!

ย I like the fact that hay is in big chunk and will take awhile to chew and nibble. However, my bunnies don’t seem to notice it, yet. So, I can’t tell you , yet if my bunnies like it or not. Edit : I saw them eat it finally on Feb 29th.
It took them awhile to warm up to it. I will buy, again, bc they mostly have Timothy hay not alfalfa so will keep for different taste buds
Cons: it’s not like the Kaytee bags where it is a slip lock style. You have to open it with โ and put a clip on it to keep it fresh. For me: that’s why it’s 4 stars and not 5. Will update with photos, but the 2nd thing I don’t like is the funky cut. March 28th: Last night i noticed the photos show an exact square. So, that’s false advertising. Now, as far as me giving it to my bunnies I have never had any issue. No poison or injury otherwise. Bc they seem to like to play with it more than eat it.๐๐๐๐. However, if your going to advertise perfect cubes then that is what I expect.
Had to update I bought a 2nd one. The order got lost Amazon let me replaced it for nothing. Which was nice. That won’t deter me from buying more. Like I said I love how hard the product is. It takes them awhile.
I have bought 3 in total plus reorder. I have 2 extra bags just in case. One is getting here on easter. I always want them to have something different in terms of hay. Once I am done with bunny projects (ex: bigger cage plus playpen) and more hay feeders etc. I am gonna try different types of hay. I think these will always be a staple until they say no mom no more. For the fact that they are 2.99 is a bonus.
I finally got in a video of him eating it!!!!!!๐๐ซ ๐๐

We don’t give too much of the cubes but they love them, only given as a treat.

My bunny can be very picky but he loves the hard chew that these provide
