I’ll feed anything that shows up in my yard. With this product, I have the best fed birds in the neighborhood. This mix has a little bit of everything, with no hulls, no mess, and no filler seeds that the birds won’t eat. I put this Kaytee Ultra Waste-Free blend out every day, along with some other varieties of seed and pellets, some C&S peanut suet nuggets, and whole raw/unsalted nuts (walnuts, pecans, etc.) for birds, squirrels, and groundhogs.

I wish I could post the wonderful aroma I got when I opened this bag of birdseed. I’d eat it myself if I could. The fruits and nuts smell delicious, and the birds think so too. I wish it wasn’t so expensive for the size of bag, but it’s top notch quality. This attracts several types of birds.. even though I have a finch feeder next to it, the bright yellow finches love this stuff.

I’ve had a “subscription” for this because the picture of what I’m supposed to get is what I wanted. Every delivery the grain was in a powder form like it had been pummeled into submission. I don’t want all that powder on the ground for the ants to enjoy I want this for the birds. So I’ve canceled my subscription I just wanted to let others know in case powder form is alright with them.

I first got a bird feeder for our cats that LOVE watching the birds eat. I was very inexperienced in the ways and means of bird food, so at first, I just bought any ole bag. That first experiment in feeding birds was a hot mess! The husks and hulls from the seeds were EVERYWHERE!!! I was cleaning up the window sill every other day. So I went searching for other food for our wild birds. I found this and bought it because it seemed like it might be a treat for the birds, high in calories for the winter months, nice and sweet during the hot summer, and most importantly, waste free. Now our window is filled with all kinds of birds at all hours of the day, every season of the year and our cats are very happy. We get finches of all colors, doves, sparrows, just everything! The doves come so often that my female cat can now call them. She puffs up her cheeks and makes noises that sound EXACTLY like a dove! She even fooled my husband because she sounds so similar to them. Anyway, this food is great. The food smells like fruit when you open the bag and every single grain is eaten, no waste at all. If you want every bird in the neighborhood to come to your feeder to entertain your cats, or if you love watching the birds yourself, this is a terrific food choice.
