This sleeping bag almost keeps me too warm even in freezing temperatures. The insulation it provides is exceptional! I have had other name brand sleeping bags that cost a lot more and didn’t create the warmth that this sleeping bag provides. Very satisfied with this product!

I’ve only been able to use this for two nights thus far, but they provided a good testing ground. For reference, I’m 5’11” and about 215lbs. I got the regular size, and it fits like a (comfortable!) glove. I also have size 13 feet, so the foot box was slightly snug if I stretched out, but it helps to have insulated toes so no complaint there.
I slept on a crummy $25 sleeping pad with little to no insulation, along with an exercise mat for some extra cushion, and I wore thermal bottoms, regular socks, and a thin t-shirt. On night one, temps were in the upper 30s. I had brought a light blanket with me in case I needed it, but I didn’t end up using it at all the first night. I was pleasantly surprised, and slightly sweaty when I woke up since I had it in full mummy mode. On night two, temps dipped to the low 30s, so the sleep outfit helped and the blanket became useful. However, I think with a proper thermal sleeping pad, I would’ve been just fine without the blanket. The exercise mat, while nice and cushy, didn’t help in the cold department either.
The side zipper didn’t even think about snagging. There’s a thick strip of nylon that runs along the inside zip, so there’s basically nothing to catch on. The outside doesn’t have this so it may hang there if you’re not careful, but I had no issues. This is the first time I didn’t spend five solid minutes fighting a zipper. Also, and take this with a full tablespoon of salt since I’ve never been backpacking, but this bag seems to compress very well. I was car camping and didn’t need to cinch it down much… so naturally I squeezed it to the size of a small watermelon just to test it out.
I didn’t expect to find such a fantastic sleeping bag at a price point this low with a freaking lifetime warranty. I’m very happy with the purchase and am looking forward to using it more.

Embarking on my outdoor adventures, I recently welcomed the Kelty Cosmic Synthetic Fill 20 Degree Backpacking Sleeping Bag into my gear repertoire, and it swiftly became a trusted companion under the open sky.
The synthetic fill emerged as a hero in unpredictable weather conditions, showcasing its unparalleled insulation even in damp environments. This feature proved invaluable during a night fraught with unexpected rain showers, ensuring that I remained comfortably warm throughout the entirety of my slumber.
The sleeping bag’s 20-degree rating lived up to its promise, enveloping me in a cocoon of warmth during chilly nights. The mummy shape, expertly designed to retain body heat, combined with the adjustable hood, provided an extra layer of coziness when temperatures dipped. Smooth-operating zippers and an effective draft collar sealed the deal in keeping the cold at bay.
Durability proved to be a defining trait of the Kelty Cosmic, with its ripstop nylon shell resiliently standing guard against abrasion, contributing to an extended lifespan. The inclusion of a compression sack further emphasized its backpacker-friendly design, allowing for easy packing and optimizing precious space.
A standout feature was the dual-slider zipper, offering the flexibility to ventilate during warmer nights without sacrificing comfort. The interior lining, soft against the skin, enhanced the overall sleeping experience, adding a touch of luxury to my outdoor retreats.
While the Kelty Cosmic shines in numerous aspects, it’s fair to note that, like most mummy bags, it may feel a tad restrictive for those who relish more room to move. However, this design choice plays a pivotal role in the bag’s efficiency in retaining heat, ultimately enhancing its performance in colder climates.
In summary, the Kelty Cosmic Synthetic Fill 20 Degree Sleeping Bag stands as a reliable, warm, and durable companion for backpackers navigating diverse weather conditions. Its synthetic insulation, paired with thoughtful design elements, positions it as a standout choice in the realm of outdoor gear, offering both reliability and warmth in every adventure.

I purchased this to replace another, more expensive bag, that claimed a lower temperature range (but with no ISO rating). This bag is very comfortable and warm even when wet.

Realmente se que sería un muy buen producto, y lo es. Súper calientito, se puede hacer lo más pequeño que logres hacerlo, las correas ayudan bastante, y el diseño esta súper padre

I wanted a warm synthetic bag after freezing during a June camping trip in cool, wet weather with a 40° Coleman bag.
This bag is warm and cozy. It doesn’t compress down as much as I’d like, but it’s got a lot of room to move around in if you’re an active and/or side sleeper, or if you’re a bigger person. The zippers are smooth and the fabric feels nice against the skin.
I am 5’4″ and size 6/8, this has just a touch of room length-wise and probably too much room width-wise. I think I could get into this bag with a parka if I needed to be extra warm.
Overall, I think this is a great sleeping bag for car camping, probably too large for backpacking.
