After years of experimenting with cheaper solar and wired landscape lights, I decided to invest in six of these Kichler lights and led bulbs. The Kichlers are solid, elegant, tall enough, and worth the money. 18 months later they are still beautiful, bright, and not a single light has burned out or even flickered. Don’t trust the mechanical connectors with these or ANY low voltage light unless you want to be constantly fiddling with them. I used soldered connections and coated them with two coats of liquid rubber. Perfection!

These lights look great! I did spring for the led bulbs for the brightness and longevity. Will update in the spring to see how they hold up to my Canadian winter.

The light is not bright as some have mentioned, however that can be fixed by swapping out light with T5 LED 3W or 4W bulb. The worst part is the top disc design, which uses 3 posts to support. Those posts cast a shadow on walkway. If strictly using for landscapes, it’s probably fine, but on path the visual aesthetic is terrible. Definitely returning. 2nd pic is what it should look like (different light)

Love Kichler Lights. Purchased many other lights. This light IS NOT LED as the title reads. This light will accept T5 LED bulb. Title is misleading.

Our landscape designers recommended a different product line for our modern landscape design project, but I have had great success with the Kichler brand on other house projects and knew that they not only look great and hold up well, but they are easy for electricians to install. So I went with Kichler.
When I received several of these dome lights from Kichler, I was surprised at how tall they were, which was not the fault of the listing. They just looked giant. However, once installed, they looked just perfect and blended in to the landscape. We used the bulbs that came with the light and they cast just the perfect amount of light to light the path and area without needing a dimmer.
We combined them with the Kichler mini-accent lights to highlight our trees and transformer, see links to these items below. The look is flawless.

These look nice and were easy to install but not so sure they are worth the money. We installed these in late June and put them on an 8 hr timer. Both burnt out in less than two months of use and when we pulled out the bulb that came with this product. Both were T10 incandescent bulbs-not LED as advertised (see photo).
Sadly, I’m past my return date so I guess I will purchase new bulbs and try to find an LED option. Disappointing to say the least!

These path lights are very good quality. Solid and substantial plastic stake for inserting in the ground. The three aluminum standoff studs that support the mushroom dome cap could be a little longer. I purchased some $15 LED wedge bulbs to replace the traditional ones and had to find some 3/4″ standoffs to extend the cap’s height as the bult is taller than a traditional small wedge bulb. It was worth it because I now have twice the light and about 1/5th of the power consumption with a bulb that should last for 20 years or more.
These are a very simple light fixture that are simple to manufacture and should not cost as much as they do, but I think Kichler has too many participants in the supply chain all wanting take a big cut.
