Ok, been a few months and too many YT videos. Mostly ranch-related, wildlife to indoor stuff but also hack film projects. Very happy with performance; works well; above-average accessories (xtra battery; cords, etc.) I film way too much stuff but in a filmable area to put it lightly so carried on hikes, in garden, around farm; good and compact and ok after inevitable drop or two. (Results may vary on latter!)
Gripes. Most perhaps “git off my lawn” old man stuff:
G1: The main “Start recording/stop” most popular button is a good size but, me at least, never have an easy time with it. Doesn’t seem to respond each time or must push harder than you’d think, thus fumbling with the compact size and always accidentally touching other buttons (that don’t trigger anything but still). May be me. Adult male but Nosferatu hands (say what?).
G2. The “night mode” night vision seems no different than reg and pretty useless beyond very close things that may be illuminated by the 3 tiny little lights that then come on. The cheaper one this replaced had amazing NV; got to read fine print on that. Note: all this general hobby; no big deals. So bought an “average” Amazon camcorder; not cheapest but dang close. This was discounted so another “step up” but not much. Seems better quality than last but prefer old one, no offense to this perfectly-functional one.
G3. “Dang, Ethel! You’d expect the nifty case provided to FIT the dang thing!” Ok, it DOES but not with the battery that extends its length enough so it won’t fit in the case. BUT (git off my … oh. did that) after I stubbornly jammed it in a few times, it stretched out. So like a new sock perhaps that needs a little pull. Moot in practice as I usually want if available faster so just put in a pocket. NOTE:
NOTHING NEGATIVE to it’s reason for existence. Good value. Working great and happy with it. I know there are different forms of NV, few really the tech version so perhaps this just has a closeup or diff version I did not clue into and/or some control combo also missed. IT WORKS WELL FOR PRICE.
Rest pretty good. I wish the port for the memory card allowed a little more room to grab the damn thing but that’s standard with all devices now (git off my lawn!). Pics are screenshots so cam’s results may be better vs what shows up here. I like the options of a super HD, reg HD and VGA.

What a piece of junk. Their description that this camera records for over an hour is completely false. On a fully charged battery, it only records for 48 minutes. And it breaks the files into small chunks, so post production is a total pain with this thing. If I record for 30 minutes, the file should show as 30 minutes. It doesn’t. It also corrupts almost everything I record. And it’s not the SIM card. I bought a brand new SIM card with large capacity and it still gives a “cannot open file – corrupted” error message when I try to dump from SIM to my computer. Yes, I formatted the card. Yes, I did all the troubleshooting steps. Didn’t matter. This camera is junk!

My granddaughter will be traveling to South Korea to study this summer. She was hoping for a camera and I found this one on Amazon. it is a dandy and I’m sure she’s going to enjoy it as she travels from medical school , and on weekends traveling to see all the beautiful sites with her friends. She will be able to take video steel shots. and video calls to her parents so they can enjoy this wonderful trip as well. I told her that I purchased a camera for her and she was over the moon. She doesn’t have to worry about overloading her cell phone anymore. Everything will be in one manageable spot.

Bought this product for a friends birthday who was beyond excited to use it. Unfortunately does not seem to accept the formatting of the SD card and format window pops up every time the camera is turned on and none of the videos recorded saves.

Overview: This camera is a very good value for the low cost and the versatility/capability features. It is compact and lightweight with a protective case.
I found the instructions easy to follow for quick use of the camera. I found all the features were very usable and easy to setup.
The images were very sharp and there are multiple settings for such situations as landscape, portrait, sport, beach, backlighting, night which allow you to optimize lighting regardless of your photo situation.
The camera 3” screen rotates so if you need to take photos close to the ground (like pets and young children) you do not have to get on your knees to do so.
I found the camera light adjustment and depth of field focus and very responsive while photographing and changes in these circumstances.
It is easy to set up your date/time for recordings
The anti-shake and Telephoto to wide angle 15x adjustment contributes to smooth video transition.
When continuously taking video between inside, back lighting and outside with the camera is set on “automatic”, the camera responds very quickly to all the light change dynamics.
It is very easy and quick to change between video and photo.
The mic replicates the sound realistically.
The menu provides a lot of adjustments that can be made such as video formats, exposure settings, even effects such as sepia, warm, color, B/W normal, sharpness adjustment, sun, indoor, cloudy, even HD, 1080P, 720P and other settings, white balance.
You have several camera settings to shut down by itself to conserve battery in case you forget to turn it off.
The camera screen will show multiple videos for review to select for either playback or delete.
It comes with the cables to connect to your TV USB and audio inputs if your TV is so equipped.
Also, you have the cable to connect to your computer and the instructions for the free software to download and use with internet posting application.
So, if your cellular phone is busy for use of such things as text messaging, snap shots, tweeting, Facebook, multiple apps, etc. this is the perfect reasonably priced compliment for video capture of your active life.

The only problem I have with this camcorder is the microphone.. it sounds terrible when you play it back. Other than that I think the video was great and easy to set up!
