Listen. We bought this for camping because it is large enough to hold a full (almost queen) size self inflating mat and… It is big enough but…we got the queen size cot because we wanted to cuddle and stuff but that ridge in the middle might as well be a wall. He slid down one side and I slid down the other side…there was no cuddling. And even through a 4 inch matt..that ridge HURT. (Yeah buddy we were bound and determined) so again…no cuddling. We got home from that trip and cut up pieces of memory foam for either side and put a queen size piece of plywood over top and now its even. Took it in our next camping trip and cuddling ensued. Some of our camping trips are over 10 days soooo we needed a comfy bed for sleeping and stuff. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is this was the only queen sized cot that we could find. Given that we had to build a bed onto the cot it really deserved 1 star. Kingcamp…when people purchase a large cot they do not want a hard ridge in the middle. I mean seriously…what did you think we wanted to be able to sleep next to each other for??

This worked great! We took it to a cub scouts winter camping trip and our intentions were to use this underneath our air bed, but long story short, we ended up sleeping on this with our sleeping bags and it was great. Now, keep in mind that there is a bar in the middle. So as long as you stay on your own side, all is well.

Our camping mattress recently broke and we only used it twice so it was quite disappointing so I went on to look for an alternative and I came across this cot and after reading the reviews I thought I’d give it a shot cause I was definitely not going back to the mattresses. It came quick and in a nice package for easy transportation. It wasn’t hard to set up so we decided to test it out and it was much more comfortable than expected. We have a large tent so this should fit right in without any problems and I like that it’s not too high off the ground. This held us up really well and didn’t just sink in like I imagined it would, just throw in a blanket and a pillow and you’re all set to go!

The cot is sturdy but the middle bar is too high when you are in the cot. The bar actually holds your arm up at an uncomfortable level. You have to push (force) the end legs down very hard to get them to close, it feels like you might break them.

We are tent campers and because we’re not “spring chickens” we started using airbed frames ten years ago. Time took its toll on the airbed frames so we needed another. I couldn’t find anything like we had in the past so I took a chance. Very pleased with the product. It accommodates a queen size air mattress with no problem. Easy set-up/take-down. I’ll probably order another one.

So we converted to this after getting sick of the inflatable camping mattress “taco effect” especially in warm weather camping. We love this it is very supportive and comfortable (we use 1/2 in camping pads on it but not bad without). My wife is not affected as much by my movement. An unexpected pleasure was pulling it out of the tent during the day and putting under 10×10 for outdoor naps. Its drawbacks are it is large, about the same size as a 10×10 canopy but a bit heavier, although it is sturdy and supports weight well. Even handles both people on one side well should you find yourself in that kind of situation 😉
