Like the first reviewer, my feeder was also shipped without the hole in the top of the dome. Easy enough to drill a hole, but hopefully the manufacturer gets this straightened out.
That aside, this is a pretty cool feeder, and I’m loving the Kingsyard blue. This is my third blue feeder from them! The construction is overall pretty good, I think the plastic dome is probably the weakest link but it seems pretty tough. When I assembled this, I put thread locker on the threads where the center rod attached to the base – I don’t want this coming unscrewed! The food cups seem pretty durable, but if they ever got lost or broken, a standard custard cup will sit in the hole, but it’s a little big and wobbly. The plastic base seems indestructible.
I got this hoping to attract some bluebirds, I don’t believe I’ve ever seen any at my house. If they don’t magically appear, I’m sure something else will!

*** I have updated the original review (below) and changed the rating from 3 stars to 5 because the company was very responsive and said that they have sent the batch of feeders without holes back to the factory. They said that they will ensure that future orders will have holes in the top.
First, let me say I really like this bluebird feeder and am looking forward to filling the cups with dried mealworms and waiting for the birds to come.
However, there were two drawbacks. First, no instructions came with the disassembled feeder, and I had to go to the website pictures to see how to attach the domed top to the bottom. I finally figured out that the pole top had to be unscrewed to separate the two parts that went on either side of the dome — underneath and on top. So a small set of directions with some elemental pictures of assembly would be helpful to include with the feeder.
Secondly, however, this issue was more problematic, and if I were single and unfamiliar with tools, I would have sent this back. There was no hole on the top of the dome to insert the pole that separates the dome from the bottom. First I tried to tap it out with an ice pick and a tack hammer, but I soon realized that the plastic was too thick to be tapped out. Then I called in reinforcements. My husband very very carefully drilled a small hole, then a bigger hole, then finally a hole into which the threaded pole would fit. I think we were fortunate, because it would appear that too much force might cause the dome to split.
So because of this, I only gave it 3 stars. The company needs to be sure that the hole in the dome is pre-drilled so that the buyer doesn’t have to drill it him/herself. Otherwise, it appears to be a quality product, with a strong base and very attractive bowls for the food and a dome for weather protection. It will look very attractive on my deck.

I will say that the feeder is sharp looking. It also has a much heavier / heftier feel than I was expecting.
Unfortunately, there is no way to assemble the one I received. The dome, which is supposed to be pre-drilled to attach the rod that holds the feeder platform, is solid plastic. I may try to find a way to drill it out myself by applying tape to both sides of the material and drilling very slowly. But plastic tends to crack or shatter unless you have specialized drill bits (which I do not).
Even if I can make it work, the consumer shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to do so.
EDITED to add: Despite my reaching out directly to Kingsyard asking for a replacement dome, no one ever reached back to me, even to say that it’s not possible. So my original two star review stands. I also find it revealing that, while my review was originally written before two others, those two “Five Star” reviews show on the Kingsyard company webpage but mine does not. It’s easy to promote something as a 5-star product when you don’t acknowledge any others
