I really like the design of this feeder. The glass bottle holds a good amount (16 oz) of nectar. The plastic base is comprised of two sections that easily come apart for cleaning but also has a gasket to keep nectar from spilling. I’ll hold my opinion about the built-in gasket feature; I’m concerned that it will be more difficult to keep clean over time and prolonged usage. The flower ports are made of a soft material (silicone?) that look nice but I’ve had experience with similar ones and they did not hold up well after one season against the elements and other birds that would peck at the feeder; they became pocked, sticky and discolored. The ports have ¼” slots that I already have plastic replacement flowers that fit perfectly if needed. The ant moat is made of plastic; the screw hooks did not easily screw in place. I got one fully in, but the other only ¾ of the way in because I was afraid of breaking the plastic cup. It’s still functional as is. Since it’s about the end of the hummingbird season for me and there’s only one that rarely stops by now, I’ll have to wait until spring to see how the next migrating crew likes this feeder. Based on its overall features, I think this will be a popular feeder for the hummingbirds.

Received in the afternoon. Already had a hummingbird feeding from it in a new location before the day was over. Of course, you have to have hummingbirds in your area for this to happen. We have hummingbirds all through the year. I put this feeder just outside the kitchen window. That’s a great view, and the hummingbird didn’t seem to see us.
Here’s what’s new to me from older humming bird feeders:
– The “flowers” were detachable in my old feeder to the point that they would fall off. I don’t have a similar worry with this new feeder. Hummingbirds are not fooled by plastic flowers (unlike what the seller describes). They look for a small hole to poke into. I had the unfortunate experience of being in my yard and hearing a terribly loud buzzing noise. I turned my head quickly and ended up staring into the face of a hummingbird, beak tip inches from my eyes. Seems the hummingbird thought my ear canal was worth a look.
– For the version I chose, the bottle is clear near the bottom when hung up. I like this because I can more easily see when the feeding fluid is low.
– The ant moat is something new to me. I have to remember to keep it filled as water I put into it will evaporate. I could put antifreeze or some other chemical in there, but birds will no doubt check it out and I don’t want to hurt them. In case the concept isn’t clear, you first hang the ant moat. Any ants that climb down from the hanging point will come to the center of a filled cup. They have to be brave to go any further. Meanwhile, the hummingbird feeder hangs from the underside of the ant moat.
As for the rest, all seems typical. There may be a concern in a stiff wind since the ant moat and feeder are two pieces with a slender connection, and the moat hangs loosely, too (it’s not screwed in to, say a tree branch). We don’t get winter freezes where I am so I don’t have those concerns but you should consider this if you do. I also washed this feeder first, and will have to after each batch. No one wants to poison hummingbirds from bacteria growing on the sugar water. A bit of soaking in soapy water, and letting soapy water run through the “flowers” seems to help.
Overall, this feeder does its job. If you’re on the fence, watch for a discount or coupon. I hope my experience has been of help in your shopping decision.

The fade from red to clear is such a nice look and impressed me with the brightness.
Easy to put together and clean.
I Like the little ant moat, can be used for birdseed or just full with water either way it’s useful.
Fun and durable, thick and clean design.
No leaks, firm connections.
Only hard part was screwing in the metal hooks in the plastic, felt like I was going to break it but was fine. Takes lots of strenght to get them in, so ask a friend or relative if you have hand dexterity problems. Once that was done, hangs nicely and supports the weight.
Perfect gift for any hummingbird lover, and really makes a nice addition to the porch.
Doesn’t feel like cheap plastic and all went together easily and hangs firmly.
I consider this a well made item, and worth the 20$ in my opinion.
Hummingbirds are so much fun to watch at my sisters house, I had to get myself one.

First, this is a really good looking feeder, well designed and well made. The glass bottle is sleek with a wide mouth that makes it easy to clean. The base clicks together (two pieces make for easy cleaning) but have a silicone strip that seals them together so you don’t get the drips that make such a mess. I like that the bottom section has a perch so birds can concentrate on feeding. Size is just right to keep my birds fed (16oz), but not so large that food will spoil in warm months. Feeding ports are smooth rubber rather than thick plastic of other brands, with larger holes to make feeding easier. Think the smooth rubber will deter mold growth and will be easier to clean. Hanger is solid with the bonus of an ant moat that I find necessary in the summer months. So far have only had single birds, but room for 6 if my little guys will share.

The hooks work well, and I installed the water moat to keep ants out. The colors are pretty, especially when the sun on my porch shines through the glass. So far, I’ve seen a few hummingbirds come for nectar. Overall, it’s an adorable bird feeder and works as expected.
