I love this bird feeder. I can honestly say this has been the best one I’ve purchased to date. It’s easy to assemble, clean, and maintain. The umbrella cover helps to keep the seeds from getting wet so they don’t spout or get moldy. The bottom has great ventilation and is sturdy.

As a long-time fan of Kingsyard, I have always been impressed with the quality and design of their bird feeders. My collection includes their platform trays, covered dome metal feeders, and the uncovered version of this feeder, all of which have consistently attracted a variety of birds to my yard. However, my recent experience with this particular feeder was a bit disappointing – I didn’t anticipate how much smaller this covered version would be compared to the uncovered model.
Alongside small birds, I feed large birds such as Blue Jays, Mockingbirds, Red-bellied Woodpeckers, and Brown Thrashers. Unfortunately, this feeder was too small to accommodate them comfortably. While the smaller birds had no issues, my larger birds struggled.
This is the first Kingsyard product I have ever returned, which says a lot given my loyalty to the brand. If you primarily attract smaller birds to your garden, this feeder might still be a great choice for you. However, if you’re like me and enjoy watching larger species, you might want to consider their other models.

This is a very well constructed feeder, very durable and easy to use. The dome height is easy to set and can be raised to fill the feeder without affecting the height adjustment. It is great at keeping out larger birds like mourning doves who would just sit and gorge themselves in my non domed flat feeder. Yet the cardinals can still get in and feed in peace.

I am extremely impressed with this bird feeder. The research I did leading up to this purchase was thorough and it seems that the manufacturer clearly anticipated and solved all of my concerns. The product is sturdy – no cheap or easily breakable parts. The clear dome is ingenious – it allows light in, but keeps out the rain and very importantly, the squirrels. The design is such that try as they might, the squirrels can’t get in and steal the bird seed. The dome is also adjustable, so it can be positioned to only allow smaller birds to feed. The floor of the feeder is a very durable metal screen that will keep dust and water from collecting. It’s easy to assemble and the threaded parts are substantial and will stay tightly secured. I highly recommend.

This is a really nice bird feeder! It’s strudy, easy to clean, and looks nice! Only problem is that squirrels can get into it if it’s too close to the ground. It’s not a product problem, but it’s not a good feeder for anyone placing it close to the ground or near something a squirrel can climb to it. I’m so sad about this, I love the feeder and can’t use it! 🥲
