The machine is a complete waste of money because it’s only 650 watts which is the same as the $39 blenders available on Amazon. Build quality is good but you need to upgrade to the K400 for enough power to blend healthy whole food ingredients.
If you want quality build with good individual attachments, spend the extra $100 on the Kitchen Aid K400 as this model does NOT have enough power.

My husband calls himself the “mixmaster” and is pretty hard on a blender. He combines fruits, nuts, seeds, hot oatmeal and oat milk for breakfast. He blends fruits, veggies, and coconut water or tea for a liquid snack. He doesn’t crush ice, but fruits and veggies are often thrown in whole. Our last blender, also a Kitchen Aid, broke when he left a metal spoon inside and started to blend. He has gone through about 5 blenders in 20 years. I purchased this blender because: 1) the Kitchen Aid blender we had before held up well until the spoon fiasco, 2) this model is simple, with a 3-speed dial instead of infinite options (mix, puree, liquify, etc., etc.), 3) the compact size allows this model to sit on the counter under the cabinets. Since the blender is in use every day, it is left on the counter and not stowed away. So far, so good.
I didn’t give five stars because: 1) the base of the blender is a large cube that looks clunky on the countertop, 2) the jar is reasonably easy to clean, but there’s the problem of getting under the blades without injuring a finger – common to many blenders. The blades do not disassemble for cleaning.
We’ve had this model for about a month. I’m hoping it will stand the test of time.

I wanted a personal blender for smoothies.
I tried two other inexpensive brands. Disappointing and a waste of money!
And I went to what I knew I should have done in the first place. And i couldn’t ask for more unless it cleaned itself!
As the owner of a KitchenAid stand mixer, hand mixer, and immersion blender, I have a great blender/ smoothie maker and I am delighted! Perfect smoothies in seconds. Cleans easily. And looks great.

I researched blenders, watched a ton of videos and narrowed it down to the vitamix, ninja and ka k400. I ended up picking the KA k400 because it has a strong motor and comes with a tamper, is only 15 inches in height so it fits under my cabinet with no problem, standard countertop to cabinet distance is 18 inches. This blender also came in the same contour silver as my other KA countertop appliances. It is very easy to use just turn the knob to either a number or picture icon and hit the on button. The picture icons have predetermined times and will automatically stop after the determined time is complete. It can make ice into snow. it is loud but I just expect that from a blender. It is aesthetically pleasing alot of blenders are just ugly. So far I have only used this blender for smoothies. It does an excellent job of making a frozen fruit smoothie super smooth in a short amount of time, BUT I have to use the tamper to help move the fruit & ice around and monitor it to see if I need to add more liquid to get the ‘vortex’ mixing started. After watching lots of blender reviews, I knew I wanted a blender with a ‘tamper” like the vitamix brand offers. Not all brands of blenders of a tamper although they should. The tamper is invaluable to help move stuff around in the blender. The tamper does not touch the blades. All and all I am happy with my purchase.

Finally replaced my 10 year old Kitchen Aid blender and wow, this one is much more quite and does a fantastic job of crushing ice for protein drinks and also blending frozen fruit for my smoothies. Fantastic blender!

Powerful but quiet. Just 3 speeds, not all those confusing ice crushing, purée, whip… Came with two smaller jars which have their own blades.

After about eight hours of research, I bought the Kitchenaid K150. What I love about it: (1) Great capacity and physical size (makes hugh smoothies & fits nicely under cabinets). (2) Even on lowest setting, ice, frozen fruit & vegetables are blended perfectly. (3) It is self-cleaning—no mess whatsoever. (4) it has a pulse option. (5) One can make a smoothie, soup, etc. directly in one of the two included tumblers. (6) The blender is streamlined and attractive.
What I don’t like about the K150: Nothing. I love everything about this product.

I absolutely love my new blender!! Apart from how cute it is, it does great with blending everything. I don’t have to strain any of the items that I’m making. The speed options are simple and the cleaning function works great. Highly recommend.

The accessories shown in the advertised picture are not included. Whilst this is explained in the small print, it is not obvious. I fully expected to receive the accessories with the blender. Otherwise, the blender itself is good, delivered promptly and the packing was brilliant.
