To say this kitty city is a hit at our house would be an understatement! We LOVE it! I have two cats. My 14yo cat won’t touch it but is happy to let little sister have it. My 2yo practically lives in it! It is easy to assemble out of the box. My cat has to play in it as I put it together. It does start to come apart after awhile but you simply put the pieces back and it’s good again.
I’ve purchased two kits. The first kit was purchased 2 years ago. Besides the scratching posts being torn apart (which is their purpose- better those than my furniture!) it is in great shape and well loved. I bought a second kit recently to add pieces to the first and replace the scratching posts. I’m sure I’ll be buying again!
In the picture, you can see our big set up in the background by the window. Kitty loves the sun!! I do have it built taller than recommended but I have it propped with a table so it won’t fall over. (You can see kitty here “helping” me put the the rest of it together.)

The good: Assembly was very easy, although there were a lot of parts it came together super fast. It has lots of interactive aspects (dangling balls with bells inside, hideaways, scratching posts, etc) that my kitten really enjoys. And now that I have it by a window he loves to perch on it and just watch the outside. As far as entertainment goes for my cat, this was a great deal price wise.
Another thing I like is how customizeable it is. You can very easily switch pieces around to fit your needs/home/cat. You can also order more pieces to add on.
The bad: the materials are just not stable enough to support my cat’s activity. Admittedly, my kitten has a lot of energy, is very playful, and really plows through the thing alot. But he’s still just a kitten, he’s only 3 months and 4 lbs. And I only have one. I think it’s reasonable to assume that a cat tree like this should be able to withstand his running and climbing without falling apart, which is what it does.
The pipes are constantly coming apart from the fittings and one of the scratching posts actually came fully detached. I wish there was some sort of locking mechanism inside of the fittings that would keep the pipes secured inside. When I was putting it together, some of the pipes seem to fit somewhat tightly in the fittings while some were much looser.
Also, when my cat leaps from section to section, the entire thing will shift on the floor and rock around. It’s almost too lightweight to support his movement. Once again, my cat is very active, but so are most kittens. He has yet to actually tip it over, but as he grows it seems inevitable. If I had 2 kittens I can’t imagine the thing lasting too long either.
I wasn’t expecting super high quality materials, but I did expect something that would take into account and be able to support typical cat usage.

This cat tree is very simple to put together. You can do it by yourself. All right quality although the fabric does stretch from the weight of a smaller cat. Great size so no complaints there. Doesn’t come with any safety straps to attach to the wall like most cat trees but it doesn’t necessarily need them has pretty good stability on its own. My.
Cat seems to be very comfortafter all and loves everything about it except the hanging hiding holes. I feel like you should get the option to choose those or a different part. I do love that you can buy other attachment pieces to make it bigger. I will definitely be buying some add ons for this!

So the fabric is very stretched out and doesn’t last long at all. It keeps coming apart and no matter what I do I can’t keep it from doing so. Doesn’t clean easily at all, so if you have a long haired cats that sheds alot or any cat the sheds alot this will hold the hair on it.

My kitten barely looked at it for weeks. She loves it now. I think it is a great option for people who have to travel a lot. I have heard that the pipes will eventually fall apart but it hasn’t happened to us yet. this is just her starter anyway. Next year a full wall jungle! Thanks for this option

Review after one month of use!- Let me just start by saying when I pay 50 dollars for a kitten toy I expect to not have to continuously keep putting it back together all day long! Very disappointing because the kittens love it but they can’t play on it for even 2 seconds without it falling apart on them! I have to put it together more times than I can count in one day! That’s ridiculous! I really didn’t want to have to super glue it together because I like that I can take it apart if needed and move it but it’s either throw the junk away or super glue it together. So unless you want to keep putting this thing together 100 times a day or you just are going to super glue it or if you have a lazy cat that doesn’t play on it anyway which why get it then just get something way cheaper to lay on then I wouldn’t buy this. You have been warned!

I got this for the 15 kittens I’m fostering (4 litters) and they absolutely love it! I thought it would be alot smaller because people complained about the size in reviews but it’s actually really big not too big but perfect for a bunch of kittens or a couple adult cats! The stability is great considering it’s made of plastic. I am pleasantly surprised at how nice it is! Great product would definitely purchase again and highly recommend! Also I love that you can easily take apart to clean! Nice comfortable material. Also love the colors and kitty’s have lots of places to scratch now! Which they love to do! All in all a 10/10!

This is the second Kitty City kit that I have purchased in the last 5 years. I bought it to extend my cats’ current module (which they absolutely love). I was very pleased to discover that Kitty City items were available now to Australian customers through amazon as acquiring my first kit 5 years ago was an expensive and lengthy experience. I have to say, with little doubt, that the Kitty City sets are the best modular cat furniture kits on the market. The pieces arrived well packaged and with clear instructions, though you don’t really need instructions to start creating. However, if you’re knew to kitty City, I suggest starting with designs provided. The overall structure is light weight so you do need to consider its final height and location in the house. One of my cats enjoys leaping at his Kitty City at speed so I have positioned mine against a wall and given it a substantial bottom level to avoid tipping. I check the structure once to twice a week to make sure the uprights are secure in the joiners. Because it’s a modular design, it can loosen up with use but I find checking it once to twice a week and pushing the pieces back into place is all I need to do. You can purchase replacement parts. I’ve had to replace the sisal-rope uprights a couple of times over 5 years (A sign that the Kitty City is much loved in my house). The replacement parts were inexpensive and easy to acquire. Overall, a functional piece of cat furniture that is modular and can be built to suit any house.

Lo primero y más importante. Les gusto a mis michis! Los que tenemos gatos saben lo común que es comprar cosas para los michis y que no les gusten.
Mis michis disfrutan mucho este modular. Inicialmente tenían algo de aprensión porque es bastante ligero y pareciera que no las sostendria, pero en cuanto se les paso la precaución seguido las veo ahí jugando o durmiendo. Creo que las Casitas son en las que se han metido muy pocas veces pero todo lo demás ya se han dado vuelo disfrutando y jugando. Apenas tenemos como un mes que lo empezaron a utilizar. Tengo michis de tamaños variados. La que se ve en el área media pesa alrededor de 6 kilos. La que esta arriba unos 4. Y tengo una de 8 que también se sube aunque ella prefiere no subirse hasta las áreas más altas. El techito del tercer piso que formaba un cuarto piso con subida en el tapete de afilar lo pusimos abajo para que estuviera más estable porque solo la más joven y ágil se atrevía a utilizarlo, pero ya con este acomodo se han animado las demás.
Me gusta porque es fresco, ligero pero estable, y cuesta la mitad de lo que cuestan los que son más de peluche. Relativamente fácil de ensamblar pero si lleva su tiempo.
Hasta el momento sólo estas dos han descubierto los postes para afilarse y los aman, pero no dudo que las demás los descubran pronto. Han estado algo estresadas porque acabamos de mudarnos y este mueble les ha ayudado mucho a irse aclimatando a su nuevo hogar

I got this for our 2 cats as an apology gift since we moved and they aren’t allowed outside anymore (coyotes in the new area). They seem to like it a lot! It was easy to put together, came with some extra pieces as backup, the size is good too. I like the design that you can add other stuff to do it too.
