I’ve tried a variety of ways of doing home made ice-cream over the years. Stand alone churners surrounded by ice and salt, stand alone ice cream makers with it’s own freezing component etc. and I have to say, this is the simplest way to do it. You just put the bowl in the freezer overnight, mix in your ingredients and churn. So sick of the ultra high sugar corn syrup options and this is a great alternative. Excited to try out all kinds of flavors!

This ice cream maker is really good for household use . Will yield 4 cups when done in 1 batch. I really like it because you can have fresh ice cream anytime you want it like cold stone creamery ice cream. You can make your own flavorings like I did and adjust the sugar content .I used jackfruit and macadamia nuts and it was so delicious and has a unique flavor. You can create your own ice cream using your favorite fruit and nuts. I will make mango ice cream this summer because my tree is blooming right now and gives out a lot of mangoes during summertime. I’m excited 😆

The plastic-and-rubber attachment is unstable and after making several batches of ice cream, it became stripped and unusable. There is no obvious way to communicate with the vendor or Amazon about this problem. The bowl that is frozen in a freezer seems durable. It’s a shame that the attachment is such a poorly constructed and flimsy item when the other pieces themselves seem durable. Amazon should provide optional insurance for this device, particularly since it has a piece that is so poorly designed and constructed.

The bowl started leaking after a couple of batches of Ice Cream. It was leaking a blue liquid that would crystalize if it dried. Ended throwing the bowl out.

The attachment for this ice cream maker doesn’t connect the way other bowl attachments connect. There is a silicone grip that attaches to the bridge of the center portion of the mixer. The center attachment that you are used to attaching things to will get into the ice cream that is mixing so you will want to make sure it is very deeply cleaned to avoid contamination. I also wasn’t sure if the attachments were going to work together but they performed well… just make sure you raise your bowl up in the mixing position.
It is easy to set up, easy to use you just have to remember to keep the freezer bowl portion always in the freezer or plan ahead as it requires a couple of days to freeze appropriately.
The texture of the ice cream it produces is really nice especially after being frozen. It does create quite a mess, but for my family we find it worthwhile to be able to make ice cream at home.
These photos were taken at the beginning of mixing and while the ice cream wasn’t exactly firm it was firm enough to scoop in order to deep freeze.
