This multi-function coffee machine works well and is easy to use. I watched the on-line video and followed the instructions setting it up and that was a very simple process. The machine has so many settings that I would recommend that you keep the instruction manual nearby. You have multiple inserts you can use depending on whether or not you are using this for a coffee, expresso, latte or cold brew. I only tried the coffee function and discovered a flaw in the machine. You cannot change the size of the cup. So if you add a KCup which fits perfectly in one of the inserts, you literally get a half cup of strong coffee. There is no way to increase the size of the cup which makes this machine less than idea for everyday use. While it doesn’t take up much space and in that way is very nice, you would need another Kuerig type machine for your coffee which is not ideal. The expresso feature and the latte feature all appear to work well. The reservoir is large enough to hold multiple cups of coffee and could easily handle a 10 or 12 ounce cup, however you do not have the feature to change the size and therefore, this machine will not work for me.

OK, so I am not a *true* coffee drinker. I like tea. But occasionally I really love an espresso and I find it much gentler than other styles of coffee.
And the feeling point here is: do your espresso the way you like it. So I picked up some original Nespresso style pods and tried this with that first.
First of all, the instructions are great. No issues with anything getting the unit set up, cleaned, and prepped for the first shot.
Second of all, the drip tray has two position for normal mugs and smaller espresso cups which I think is really thoughtful.
As for the touch interface, I found it really quite impressive. I touched to power on and then waited for the unit to come up to heat. I selected the medium hot temp and two for the quantity. Each notch is about an ounce (I guessed from the cleaning at quantity four). So I got my first Nespresso coffee and…it was really good. The pressure on this is listed at 19bar which is really high. I believe you only need 9 bar for correct espresso.
I also have a coffee grinder, although I’m not sure it handles espresso level grinding. I will give it a try. It’s not a “Real” espresso machine because it has a tiny little hole in the filter to allow pressure build up. Still, it’s worth a try.
Unit powers off quickly after not using for some minutes. Overall really pretty great.
I wish it had a milk steamer…

I love how small this coffee maker is and that it can use so many different pod options. However, if your using this for k-cups like I am, then this isn’t the best. No matter which option you use the machine runs really loud. Also after it’s done brewing a kcup so much residual water stays in the plastic pod, so if your not careful you will burn yourself. The first time I pulled it out I burnt my foot, because I didn’t realize there was water in there and then it poured out. Regardless of how careful you are, or how much time you leave it in the machine it will still have the water in there and make a mess on your counter or floor.

Great coffee maker. Can take different capsule sizes as well as ground coffee. There are 4 stages of temperature control also which gives you much more options. The smart touch works great and looks cool also.

First thing I noticed is that there is still a lot of water inside the k cup or capsule after brewing so when you pull it out, be careful not to drip hot water on yourself.
This thing should come with some type pod holder because to have 4 different types of pods with nowhere to keep them that is readily accessible makes for disorganization.
I like on the top how simple it is to use with four different temperature settings but I could not figure out how to control the amount of water that comes out. Seems to be just one size. If I could control the size of the cup, this would be 5 stars.
On the back of the reservoir, it opens. Put your water in and then close it. Top isn’t removable which I like.
Each pod holder has to be squished or punctured before you put it into the machine. Hope that makes sense. It doesn’t function like a traditional k cup style but has a slightly different design.

This is actually the second KOTLIE espresso machine I own now. While I was initially apprehensive because I was not familiar with this brand, after using it the first couple times I was sold so I had no hesitation to pick this one up when it became available. I mainly got this machine because it accepts larger cups (for me that means a regular sized cups) not just espresso cups. Compared to the AC513K model, this new EM308K adds additional features that include cold brew. I tried the feature but haven’t used it much as I mainly like espresso drinks.
The quality of the coffee that comes out is very nice. It develops a nice crema on top and seems to brew the coffee at the right temperature to extract the maximum amount of the pleasurable compounds without extracting the unpleasant ones. I made coffee head to head with a PHILIPS automatic espresso maker and the output is actually a little darker. Probably because this machine creates 19bar of pressure versus only 15 on the PHILIPS. For comparison, this machine lists for $150 while the PHILIPS retails for over $500.
The best feature of this machine is that it accepts many different delivery methods including the two most popular, the KEURIG and NESPRESSO pods. While I don’t like the waste and cost of the pods, I really do like having some around for an emergency and when I take the machine with me on trips. YES!!! I have packed this up and taken it with me on a couple of longer trips now to save me from that awful hotel room coffee. Even using the coffee given to you in the room put through this machine makes that coffee SOOO much better than the crappy drip machine they have in the rooms. If I can only find a way to carry this machine around with me better than using the original packing box, its is starting to get a little beaten up.
As much as I like this machine, there are a couple of issues with it. The first, is that when you use loose coffee, when you take the cartridge out there’s no easy way to empty and clean it without burning yourself or dripping contents everywhere. The coffee is always very wet and there isn’t a nice puck either no matter how much I try to tamp down the coffee with the included plastic spoon/tamper. One other complaint is that there isn’t a good way to store the extra trays for the different pod systems. It doesn’t even stack or nest well.
Vine Review –
I’m not a true coffee drinker, as I prefer tea most of the time, but I occasionally love a good espresso. I find it much smoother than other coffee styles, and the best part is you can make it exactly the way you like it.
I decided to pick up some Nespresso-style pods and give this machine a try. The setup was a breeze thanks to the clear instructions. No trouble getting it cleaned and ready for my first shot.
One feature I really appreciate is the adjustable drip tray, which has two positions: one for regular mugs and another for smaller espresso cups. It’s a nice, thoughtful detail.
The touch interface impressed me as well. I powered the machine on and waited for it to heat up, then selected the medium hot setting and set the quantity to two. From my testing, each quantity notch is about an ounce, so I ended up with a perfect Nespresso shot. The espresso was delicious, and with 19 bars of pressure, it delivers more than the 9 bars usually required for good espresso.
I also have a coffee grinder, though I’m unsure if it can handle the fine grind needed for espresso. I’ll give it a try soon. While this isn’t a “real” espresso machine (since it has a small hole in the filter to help build pressure), it’s still very much worth it for what it offers.
The machine also powers off automatically after a few minutes of inactivity, which is a great energy-saving feature. Overall, it’s a fantastic espresso maker. This machine is perfect since it comes with adapters for various capsule types, ensuring it suits everyone’s preferences.

A good Espresso Coffee Machine, 5-in-1.
Small space, suitable for home use;
Can brew Kcup/Dolce Gusto/Nespresso Original/GroundCoffee/44mm ESE EM-308A.
Easy to use, touch button;
Can set water temperature and water volume;
With cleaning reminder;
However, there are too many functions, and it feels that the brewing of various styles of coffee is not very professional.
