LASTAR Sun Lamp 10,000 Lux Touch Control

This lamp is attractive and extremely easy to use. No programming, just a light tough to the buttons. Varying degrees of brightness and can be timed. I’ve never purchased a light panel before so this is new to me. I use it on my desk early every morning while I have my coffee and work in the computer. Usually for an hour plus at the highest brightness. Occasionally at other times in the day. In less than a week it has boosted my energy and improved my sleep patterns. I live in the northeast where winters can be overcast and lacking sun. Wish I had purchased one long ago. I would give it 10 stars. And thank you to the provider for the reasonable price.

 I got this lamp to help with the aptly named “SAD” which has been hitting me pretty hard lately and it has helped a bunch after using it for a few days now. The way I used this product is I would wake up in the morning and turn on the lamp for about 30 minutes to help me wake up.

Pros:
– Goes up to 10000 lum: I found this to be great because that is what all of the websites I have read recommend for it to be the most effective.
– Different light settings: nice for when I wake up I don’t immediately blast myself with a piercing light, that way I can slowly increase the intensity as I begin to wake up.
– Heavy base with rubber padding: was not expecting this to have such a weighty and sturdy construction, it really helps with preventing it getting knocked over. The rubber base also helps keep it from moving from the accidental elbow.

Cons:
– Buttons: these buttons are touch sensitive “tap” buttons, meaning just touching them turns on the lamp. I thought this would be a cool feature until I got it, imagine my surprise as I try to turn it on early in the morning and I accidentally hit the max light button instead of the dimmer after blindly searching for the right area. More often than not I have to tilt the light down (which often accidentally turns it on as I grab the top) and look to tap the setting I want .

TLDR/Final thoughts:
– Great light therapy lamp at an affordable price (especially on sale) with very durable construction, but decide before purchasing if you are ok with dealing with the touch sensitive “tap” buttons.

I love my little lamp. My therapost recommended it to help with my critically low Vitamin D. Although im pretty sure in not using it as intended lol. I liked the orange mode so much that I use it as a regular lamp now for a warmer lighting in the room… I absolutely adore how BRIGHT and dim it can get too!

I was debating between a few but the color options and bells and whistles sold me. It’s light weight and easy to move if I wish because it’s a regular plug unlike most plugs today being usb.  It was recommended by a friend that I try using a light therapy lamp in the winter months to boost my mood and energy levels. I bought this model off Amazon and set it up in my home office. It really seems to work as I feel more awake and focused. There are 3 brightness level settings/color that are easily adjustable with a light tap. The all white lamp color also matched by desk and office aesthetic. It was very simple to set up- plug in an go!

Not so sure yet how it is working for my SAD, but is relaxing to sit by it in the morning with my tea. Very attractive so do not have to move it when finished.
