As this is a GM specific bi direction OBD tool and it specifically states it can do fuel composition reset, I bought it for that sole purpose as I had a 2010 HHR that I got charged 100 dollars to reset. It literally states that as the first reason you should buy it. This tool was only 120, and it’s a known issue with the virtual alchohol sensors losing their position and the only way to fix it is to reset. Got it in, ran all the updates, but it only had trim reset. Very disappointing. Your mileage may vary, but if you are buying it for fuel composition reset for an HHR, look elsewhere. 3 stars instead of 1 as it seems to do a lot, and was easy to use, just not for the 1 reason I bought it

This thing is awesome for the price. I’d gave up on it too, but kept toying with it before I decided to reach out to seller. They responded with a solution and I’m pleased with the purchase.

Klunky interface. But it does have alot of features and they work. Needs alot of refinement to make truly useful. No way to really save you vehicles so you have to go through thw ID process each time. The way cust svc says to do it isnt really workable. But I will say customer service is responsibe via email. Several hour turn but if you word your question clearly you’ll get an answer.

You cannot beat getting a bidirectional scan tool for this price! It’s a pretty powerful unit! After updating it and using it I like it. Once you learn the tool and all of its functions it’s very easy to use! It is gm only. The live data stream is a great diagnostic tool and the data stream updates fast enough to make it very useful!

Worked to retract the park brake pistons on a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox and connected and read a 2019 Chevy Bolt. It has a ton of options, it can do any service function or diagnostic you can think of. Worth buying over a trip to the dealer.

The scanners I received from my initial order failed on setup. The units present the START, SYSTEM LANGUAGE, and TIME ZONE screens and then NEXT from the TIME ZONE screen opens the NETWORK SETUP screen where the unit just clocks. My WiFi broadcast matches the unit specs. I can back up to the START and run through the screens again but with the same result. The clocking does not time out and there is no option to escape this step. The User’s Manual on page 11, section 4.2, paragraph 4 states at the NETWORK screen, slide the switch to ON and the unit will search for and display all available wireless LANs. The screen image is presented as fig. 4-1. This step does not come up on the units. I returned the scanners and requested a replacement.
I received the replacement scanners today and these units performed the same as the first scanners. Since both scanners have the same defect, I can only conclude that the scanners are not being quality tested. Returning both scanners and requesting a refund. I do not recommend ordering Launch scanners.
