I found this bag to be a perfect replacement bag. It’s very roomy and rugged and priced just right by a great firm, Lenovo. The compartments are zippered on the outside and just right for commuters. I replaced the shoulder strap with one that had metal clasps and was a bit more comfortable. This bag easily carries my: lunch, newspaper, folder, and other cords, etc. The outside flap has a plastic clasp which is rugged in design. I’d buy this bag again in the future. (Update-06-28-2018) This bag is a “Must” have for commuters. It’s holding up great in my daily use. All the features this great bag has just makes keeps making it a must have, (Update -09-13-2019) Yes, this bag is still going strong after all this time. No Rips tears or anything broken and looks like it’ll go for quite a long time more.

The bag is of high quality material with two major and one smaller compartment for stowing: 1) your laptop with a velcro closure, 2) papers, books, notepads (no zipper/velcro closure), and 3)a zippered compartment with several sleeves for stowing smaller computer related items such as mouse, USB cable, pens/pencils, etc. The bag is cushioned against shock on all sides, but remains lightweight. Entry to all three compartments is gained by lifting a large flap that covers the openings to the three inside compartments and is secured by a snap when folded over the front of the bag. The flap also contains a large zippered compartment on the outside. The carrying strap is very comfortable spreading the load over your shoulder for ease of carrying. The bag also has a carrying handle. The only potential negative is the flap, which is used to cover the inside compartments, may extend a little beyond the closed flap. However, that has not resulted in any issues to date. I also use the bag to stow my Cooler Master tilted tray with two cooling fans when travelling. Everything fits! I am very satisfied with this messenger bag.

This bag is very good. Has so many pockets that are useable. However, the material seems cheap (which is comparable with the price). I would recommend this product.

It isn’t anything fancy but I love all the little pockets and also love the way it cushions the laptop inside the case.

The bag itself it pretty nice. I liked the construction and materials. It’s light weight and the perfect size for my Lenovo T430, and even with my power supply, mice and other accessories it didn’t feel bulky. I really wanted to love it.
BUT (there’s always a but in the these reviews, right?)
My biggest complaints:
First – there is no zipper or closure for the main compartment and even when the bag is closed and buckled, the ends are unprotected – rain could EASILY fall right on the laptop. I was willing to overlook it since I don’t run in the rain with my laptop bag that often. It’s happened, but it’s not a deal breaker.
Second – right away I noticed the strap attachment hardware sucked. I knew this was going to be a problem. The strap itself is OK, I like thicker straps and I will usually swap out the OEM strap for one from a previous bag that had a strap I love. You know how most bags have little loops that the strap ends clip onto? Don’t like the strap, just un-clip the strap and put another one on. Easy peazy, right? Nope. Not this one. This bag has small, square, fixed cheap plastic hardware that the strap goes around and are permanently in place. There are no swivels to the strap ends, which means the strap is going to get twisted all the time and there’s going to be tension on the cheap plastic whenever you use the bag. I knew this wasn’t going to last a crazy long time. No easy way to replace the strap. No easy way to fix it if the plastic loop breaks.
The Deal Breaker:
The cheap plastic loop broke after about two weeks of normal use. I took it to work three times, to a friend’s house twice. I was really hoping Lenovo would be putting their name on a quality product, but nope. I’d totally keep it if I could replace any of the connection points.

I have the 11.6′ Lenovo Flex and the 14′ Ideapad. I can easily fit one or BOTH laptops in this case easily with room for both power bricks/cords and anything else I may way to take along with me. Case is genuine Lenovo product and very very well made! Im a big fan of the color combination and plan to purchase another for my mom to store and carry around her 15′ Lenovo Ideapad since she likes mine so much. We both purchased the same case last year that is NOT genuine Lenovo and they both have broken zippers and half of the stamped on logo missing. We bought them because we could not find any other reasonably priced cases and were under the false impression they were genuine Lenovo. Thanks to amazon, I’ve found this gem that is high quality and I expect will stand the test of time extremely well.

Cons: The only problem being the plastic clips that connects the strap and the bag.
