I have had the 77” model for over a month now and could not be more impressed by this TV. Coming from a Samsung with QLED, the G3 is in its own world when it comes to brightness and richness of color. It’s not just bright, it’s accurate across all color range. Saturate Pixar films… OMG! Desaturated shows like See on Apple TV, OMG! No banding on dark gradients, color me impressed.

My first 77in G3 arrived defective as it wouldn’t turn on and as LG support was less than useless with helping with replacement, Amazon quickly solved the issue with replacement but had to wait a couple weeks for the new one to arrive. It was totally worth the wait though once you get the settings dialed in. It’s much brighter than the 65in C8 I was upgrading from just be mindful you’ll likely need longer HDMI cables if your sizing up like me as the side inputs are further out so I had to buy cable extensions. I was also debating on pairing this with an Apple TV 4K but the TVs internal WiFi is a decent speed upgrade from the C8 and the internal apps run plenty quick enough for me so I don’t think it’s a necessity.

Inspect your television. Mine was missing slim wall mount, remote control and instructions. Contacted Amazon to see if they could replace items. Amazon wanted me to return television for refund.
I did not want to do that. It was mounted on wall with old wall mount.
Picture quality outstanding. Sound outstanding. The G3 is by far the nicest television that I have ever purchased.

I went to my local Best Buy to view this tv in the beginning of April 2023. It wasn’t in any stores yet. I wanted to make a comparison. I decided to go ahead and purchase it on April 22, 2023. I was totally taken aback as to how detail the viewing is. This has to do with the 70% more brightest and the MLA (micro lens array feature). 55” flush mounted in my bedroom is perfect. 👍👌👏🏻
Dash & Bolt –
Blown away by the picture quality of this TV, and for any one with concerns about an OLED not being bright enough, you can set your concerns aside. Stick with Filmmaker Mode and turn off all the AI settings (noise reduction, sharpness, trumotion). You should be good to go. I was initially going to get a 65”, but after reading enough reviews and referencing TV size and distance ratios, went with a 77”. I was initially worried about it being too big, but so glad I got the bigger screen.
Hardware4you –
The picture quality on this TV is absolutely stunning. It’s so good, I find myself distracted from what I’m watching because I can’t get over how beautiful it looks.
Even after having 3 previous OLED TVs, it’s jarring how much better the picture is here. It’s much brighter, the colors are both deeper and more accurate, and the motion is flawless.
It’s hard to imagine how an image could be any better.

I love this TV. It’s my first OLED, and I couldn’t be happier. The brightness is incredible. WebOS is not bad, although I use the ATV most of the time. If you are getting this TV (or any other big TV for that matter), you will want at the very least a good sound bar.

We had an older EF9500 65″ LG OLED TV purchased new in 2015 for about $5000 back in 2015. It died a couple of months ago and instead of just buying the lowest priced OLED like the A series we did some research and found the G series to be the best picture and great mount to the wall (almost flush). However, the newest iteration of it, the 2023 version G3, wasn’t available yet. We have been waiting for about 3 months for this tv. We also upgraded from 65″ to 77″ with this new G3 model.
First, the picture is SO much more amazing than the previous OLED we owned. I think really what blows me away is the 77″ size vs our old 65″. Sports are amazing, movies amazing and just about everything is amazing. One thing we also did is not to be taken in by all the BIG brand name cables needed to connect this tv. We went with a no name brand sold here on Amazon named Stouchi. Stouchi 8K@60 HDMI Cable 13FT/4M, 48Gbps Ultra High Speed Gaming HDMI 2.1 FRL Cord 8K@60Hz 4K120Hz 144Hz eARC Dolby SBTM HDR10 HDCP 2.2&2.3 Compatible for PS5, SoundBar, AVR, UHD TV. You need this type of HDMI cable to take full advantage of this tv. 13′ cable was only $20 here on Amazon. Great purchase too. I highly recommend this tv. We were even going to go less money and buy the G2 from last year but for $1,000 roughly more, and we keep a tv for many years and watch a lot, it makes sense to go with the newest MLA (micro lens array) tech on the G3 series. You won’t be disappointed with this tv. Yes it’s a little expensive but it is an amazing picture.
