I have had this LG window unit running 24/7 in the summer heat for the past 3 months before writing this review. It runs quiet and does a good job cooling a small bedroom. Have had zero issues with it, other than the filter needing to be cleaned frequently.
I purchased a bracket to make mounting it easier, but it adds a little extra expensive you should account for. This model does not come with its own bracket like some others do, such as the Midea U-Shaped units.
If you need to cool anything larger than a small room, step up to a larger unit, such as the 12k model. It does not hurt to oversize these inverter units because they will ramp down their power draw when the temperature is near the desired set point. This usually makes the larger units overall more efficient.
Make sure to tilt this out the window when installing and check it with a level. Moisture condenses into a tray in the back that the fan blades dip into, splashing the water up onto the coil to help cool it. This makes a sound similar to water flowing that can be heard anywhere near the outside unit when it is running and there is water in the tray. It seems to work well, but if you live in a humid location it will likely not evaporate all the water and some will spill out the back of the unit. If you don’t have enough tilt, it can spill out onto the outer wall of the building where it is mounted.

We have it in our patio. It’s 100 degrees outside and we’re quite comfortable in the patio! It’s not cold in the patio but it’s a little big so no complaints. Wi-Fi app works great. Can set everything in the app. Recommend to anyone

Peaceful sleep is not possible with this AC. Mysterious loud noises, frequent on/off cycle, and the rattle of an unknown part is very disruptive. I will use my return option to search for a more peaceful AC. I do not blame the brand nor the type of AC. This particular unit is flawed. I would hope this is not normal functioning for this brand.

This is a replacement for an LG of the same BTU rating bought in 2005 or so. The old one easily cooled my 30×35 foot room. This new one has a very weak fan, it already makes vibration noise, and I have to run it at 65 all day to cool to 70. ‘Ive had 2 LG air conditioners and in comparison, this one is cheao junk

I love this AC. It cools my bedroom! And I can turn it on from the app before I get home. I have not yet used the schedule feature. Also, it works a little better with Alexa rather than Google. Alexa allows you to adjust the temp and Google only let’s you turn it on and off. This AC is also quiet. I don’t have to turn the TV up to watch it. A really great product!
