It does not get very hot, but it works for me and my hair. I don’t really need to to get super hot anyway.
My hair is curly/wavy and very prone to frizzing, but this dryer is solely responsible for keeping the frizz at a minimum. It is amazing.
Comparing this to the Dyson, which was bought for me as a gift, it is a bit less powerful, which I need because the Dyson was causing more frizz and breakage as my hair is fragile at the ends and thin and really doesn’t need a super powerful hairdryer. This dryer is perfect. It is so quick to dry and gives a great blowout.

This blow dryer is as advertised. It’s a professional blow dryer, solid, light weight and great quality. Controls are easy to use and blow drying is kind on the hair. My hair is smoother and silkier.

I bought this dryer after my new one died. It is really lightweight and dries pretty fast. The nozzle is fairly small which is good for straightening. Fairly powerful little beast.

I bought this hair dryer because it is the same one my stylist uses. It is pricey, but It dries my hair SO much faster than my old consumer hair dryer. It is also MUCH quieter — I no longer have to use earplugs when I dry my hair! A super product, assuming it keeps working well for a long time.

I like everything about this hair dryer! It is the 1st professional hair dryer that I have purchased and it won’t be my last. It costs twice as much as a cheaper hair dryer, but it dries my hair so fast and I have a professional hair do when I am finished. My hair is so soft and smooth! I have had several of my friends comment on my hair and even my husband noticed the difference! I like the buttons on the dryer and also the long cord that is heavy and tangle free. The cord has a velcro strip attached to it, so when I am done drying my hair, I can fold the cord up and keep it together with the velcro strip. So convenient! I really don’t know why anyone would not buy a Sam Villa Professional light ionic dryer. Well worth the money!

This is the best blow dryer. The air is direct so that it doesn’t blow the hair around creating fly aways, but instead keeps it smooth. The air is also warm enough on the low setting to dry my mid-back length medium thick towel dried hair in about 10 minutes. It does not burn my hair and my hair does not get tangled in it. It is light as well too, so my arm does not become fatigued. My husband loves it too and he was a professional hair dresser. He said this one is the best salon quality dryer he has ever come across for home use. He also has mid-length medium thick hair and it dries his hair in about 10 minutes as well.
The heat settings are functional and actually different where there is a warm one, and then a hot one, and the cool shot actually works, unlike many other cheap ones where all the warm settings are just hot, too hot and the cool shot is warm or doesn’t work at all. The attachments are very useful and the diffuser is actually large enough to fit all my hair so that it actually helps to create bounce in my curls rather than just making it look scrunched and messy like some diffusers that are to small and do not circulate the air well.
Great warranty, definitely will buy this brand and from this seller again.

This was a Christmas present for my wife who would never treat herself to a higher end anything. I’m a buy once, cry once type and see value in buying well made “tools”.
So far she’s had nothing but high praise for this hairdryer. She’s getting compliments every day on her hair and I admit it does look shinier and healthier. Which is strange to me as I didn’t know a hairdryer could make such a difference. Lighter, more power, more durable? Sure. But apparently the temperature and ionized air this thing produces actually gives her hair a healthier appearance.
If she’s happy, I’m happy. And right now we’re both thrilled.

I am a very busy stylist. My other dryer was just too loud. This dryer is quiet, for a dryer. I can hear my clients while drying. I am deaf in 1 ear so that is pretty amazing. I like how small and light it is. It may be slightly slower than my last dryer, but not anything too obvious. I did actually send 1 unit back because it was making a grinding noise. That unit was loud, but I decided to try 1 more time. My replacement works great and really is quiet. I am thinking the first 1 must have gone through something….
