I have lorex wired power over ethernet cameras with a network video recorder and they are fantastic. This products not so much. Constant disconnects. Plenty of WI fi signal at front door as measured negative 56 dB so that’s not the issue. Constant have to reset it. Just awful, I got the 2 year extended warranty and once this thing is past the manufactures and warranty I’m filing a claim and going back to a ring doorbell and paying the 3 bucks a month for less aggravation. I’m am very disappointed in this doorbell.

easy to install and great quality.

I am pleased with this doorbell as it does what it is supposed to do with good quality video and sound. I particularly like the adapter plates that allow pointing the camera at the person ringing the bell. As for installation, I had a technical problem with connecting to my WiFi modem that was not explained in the instructions. I had to resort to a tech expert to get that resolved. As for installing on the wall, I live in a steel building and there wasn’t an existing doorbell, so the instructiuons were not helpful. I opted, instead of batteries, to install a transformer. I am very satisfied with how the unit is attached to the building.

1. It takes forever to load the live view in the IOS app. By the time it loads whoever was in the frame has already left. Making it useless when you have someone by the front door and you want to check for safety prior to answering the door.
2. It takes forever to load the recordings when you get a notification. Most of the times I get an error saying it couldn’t load the recording.
3. The recordings are a bit useless because it starts when the camera picked up movement. For example if someone walks into the detection zone it will trigger the recording but all I see in the recording is that person already leaving. I’d suggest adding an extra 5-10 seconds prior to the motion being triggered in the recordings, just like Ring does.
4. I have the sensitivity set all the way to five and several times it has not notified me of a person by the front door. Unless Amazon and UPS have a cloaking device, the camera has missed them several times.

The software UI is frustrating and clunky. Camera doesn’t record everything I wish it would, and capturing events or navigating different functionality is a pain.

This has the worst range which any other device worked perfectly fine in my front door this could not keep a constant connection and kept skipping frames and the app’s been always very glitchy noth on iOS and android.
Ironically it’s the most expensive device among video doorbells.

my previous lorex died when I changed my wifi and had to reset i. Connecting these cameras to wifi is a joke. It never connects or complains the password is not correct. It cannot connect to 2.4 or 5G network. You have to constantly reset it to start all over and eventually the QR code does not scan because it cannot connect and you have to input the code manually. I have all kinds of devices on my high powered WiFi with no issues and this product constantly fails at connecting. It’s a shame. They have to reengineer there whole wifi setup. I am tired of fighting with this thing and I am returning it.

Okay so I’ve been wanting one of these for awhile so been really excited to try one out. It feels pretty heavy duty and sturdy! The mount is super simple to install with only needing 2 screws and it comes with various mount plates to change the angle if desired. It has a super wide camera angle so it covers everything I wanted it to.
Wiring it up I have to figure out still as I don’t think my previous doorbell put out enough voltage. But it’s rechargeable so in the mean time I can do just that. Requires the “special tool” to remove from the wall plate which helps deter theft a little. Comes with a SD (Memory) card which is kinda rare nowadays.
I really like it and it synced up to Alexa with one tap no problem. Night vision seems to leave a ring around the camera but I’ll see if a setting it causing that. 2 outdoor lights in various areas are more then enough light for this camera so I just turned off the night vision.
All around really like it! Recommend this doorbell.

I helped setup a RING doorbell setup at my aunt’s house. I wasn’t impressed by the hit and miss recordings. This product came with everything needed. I charged it prior to setup. The setup itself was incredibly easy. Install the app. Scan a QR code, and it walks you through the process.
The default setting was a lower quality video, but was easily changed to a higher quality. The highest video setting is only available if you connect the system to the existing 24V doorbell wiring, which I did not do. The middle resolution provides very sharp videos day and night, making it easy to identify whoever approached the door.
By choosing the standalone setup, this only takes minutes to do. Mount the bracket near your door. It comes with a spacer and angled plate if needed. Snap the camera into the bracket, walk away. It comes with a tiny pin to release the camera from the mounting bracket.
Each time someone approaches the door, the camera notifies me via the app, whether they press the button or not. The video is stored on the included micro SD card. NO subscription is needed!
I can review the videos from anywhere in the world via the app. The app is very stable, and is fairly easy to navigate. This is a nice security product while we are traveling the world, enjoying our retirement. Definitely a recommended product.
