XnotX –
Got this to do more trail and adv style riding. My normal lid is a shoe neotec 2. I’d say if you like good helmets then pass on this thing. It’s cheap and feels it – especially once you try riding.
Cons first –
* Carbon fiber makes light, yes and that’s great but it’s basically a cheap helmet with a light shell. So overall fit and finish is pretty trash.
* external visor and pinlock DO NOT WORK. They are so poorly designed or fabricated the pinlock touches in the middle. Of course this defeats the purpose of a pinlock and miserable fogging ensures.
* The internal visor is the worst I’ve ever used, who is the idiot that insisted a giant notch be cut in the middle of it? And stopped it going down out of my line of sight?
* crappy visor angle and interior air flow causes fogging even with a pinlock.
* The vents are cheap and seem to never really close. Even with a scarf and the the chin skirt in place, it was *cold* inside this helmet compared to my shoei in same conditions. Feels like the visor also doesn’t seal well.
* Imperfections in the visor, mediocre pads are already compressing so it feels loose (just a few weeks of light use), visor can rub on the peak.. Lots of little “cheap” things like that all over the helmet
* A hex key to change the visor? And screwdriver needed for managing the peak! Please fire the idiots who came up with that scheme.
* shake fest at freeway speeds. The peak is so gnarly at 70mph my eyes are vibrating!
* peak vibrating making noise – also at speed. Tilting head down mitigates this a bit.
* (Subjective) imo the graphics are pretty damn hideous unless you’re a 2000s x-games star.
* (subjective) Shape is definitely more round than any intermediate oval I’ve used
The pros –
It’s light
Great field of view
Flows a TON of air
ECE 22 05
Has a peak..
Quick remove cheek pads
It was in stock
All in all, I’m keeping it since I had to install the pinlock to test it out.
But I really wish it was like $100 more expensive, higher quality and with less obnoxious graphics.

This is a great helmet, fits very nicely and very comfortable. Super light helmet, very stylish and also for an Adventure helmet very quiet. Love it and worth the money.

Mike –
Great ventilation! Light, comfortable.
JEFF GRAY –
Great lid, size was just smaller than i think
Cliff Walls –
I bought this thinking it’d be a great helmet for touring and some dirt/gravel road riding.
What I like:
– Matches my bikes pain job (2023 Tuareg 660).
– Visor system – works great. The face shield locks securely and flips up with no hassle. The flip-down sun visor works good too, and is just dark enough to make a difference without being too dark.
– Visor peak – doesn’t wobble around at highway speed, no vibration or thrumming noise from it.
– Lightweight.
What I dislike:
– One shell size – A sticker on the inside lists the shell as XS-XL. I bought a Large because that’s what the sizing chart showed. Well, it fits a bit too snug and the padding is pretty thin, so I don’t think an XL would have made much difference. I wore it around for several hours and the cheek padding just does not break in.
– Comms – I installed a Cardo Freecom X and quickly realized that speaker placement in the helmet is near-impossible to sort out. I can’t get the helmet on without my ears being folded over, scraped, rubbed raw, and pressed into the speakers once I poke my ears back into place. There just isn’t any room anywhere in the helmet where the speakers won’t tear up my ears when I’m putting the helmet it on. I’ve moved the speakers around at least 60 times and nothing works. Shell size matters.
– Noise – As others have stated, this is a loud helmet. For compaisons sake, it is fairly louder than my old Arai XD-4 and a Bell Mag 9, which is a 3/4 or half helmet depending on how you look at things. My comm system isn’t loud enough to hear anything at highway speed. Interestingly, it is quieter with the face shield open.
– Heat – This helmet does not ventilate very well at all. With all the vents open there is no noticeable effect. It is swelteringly hot if the face shield is down. I rode with an ambient temperature of 107 F and there was no noticeable airflow through the helmet. I’ll admit that this is an extreme use-case for the helmet design and function, but I still think that even hot airflow through vents would make some difference. Nope, nothing. Maybe I’m too lizard-like to feel the helmet’s breeze.
It is completely possible that I’m totally off-base with this helmet and didn’t research all of the tiny intricacies that are potentially common with it, or I did a crap job checking it out before buying. Etither way, this is a sub-par helmet no matter how much I want to like it. I will say that I bought a Bell Mag 9 that outclasses this helmet in every way except chin protection.

muy bueno
