A recent experience is prompting to write this review.
The other day while riding on the freeway, the screw that holds the visor on, backed-out and nearly caused the visor to break off due to 55 mph winds. After getting off the freeway and finding a parking lot, I discovered that you have to pop off this very fragile piece of plastic to get to the screw. Of course not having a screwdriver in my back pocket, I had to use my finger to try and tighten it.
Back on the freeway, 5 mins later, rattling again…only it was the screw on the other side. Had to find another exit and go through the same thing, remove plastic to get to the screw.
There is zero reason for this to happen, considering the helmet is only a month old.
I will also note that the left side cheek pad pulls out every other time I take off my helmet. The helmet fits great, it’s not to tight, but there is only this little piece of plastic that pops into a hole that keeps the pad in place.
I love the look and feel of the helmet, but the issue I’ve listed …all after one month leads me to say, find a different helmet, and/or buy the insurance.

I received this just the other day and it looks great, fit is as expected as I’ve had other LS2 helmets, and most of all it’s super light! It’s winter here so too cold to ride but just seeing how the visor closes tight I’m sure it’s going to be less noise than my metro modular helmet

So I order this helmet and the order was fulfilled by NPSNation. They sent the wrong model, a blaze (way cheaper model) instead of the explorer and it was a used/demo in a random box with no accessories. I’ve since asked to return it and Amazon has allowed the return. As far as the helmet goes, I’ve seen these helmets and worn one, they are a very nice helmet, especially for the money. Just make sure that you don’t order it from NPSNation.

Pros: shield locks tight no air leak and comes with pin lock fog shield. if you get the right size it fits snug on the hole head and cheaks. Mean looking, very cool HALO style and good vents.
Cons: shield is ether open all the way or closed. Sun shield would be nice if it came down a little further, but it’s fine as is. was tough to position and fit speakers in it.
To Fit the speakers: you need to get them in the right spot first so sound is right on the ear hole. then press the speakers on the edges to leave an imprint. Then remove the speakers and use a heavy socket to press the shape into the foam as far as you can then put the speakers back in the holes you made.

The helmet looks great and I love the fact that it has a tinted visor and clear shield in one but the metal quick release strap makes it impossible to tolerate while riding if you are a man. No matter how loose the strap is it will dig into your Adams apple and choke you out your entire ride. Would have loved to keep the helmet with a traditional strap but unfortunately they overdid it with the metal buckle. The helmet comes with a cinch bag and zip up bag as well as a anti fog shield for the clear visor which were very nice. Would be a great helmet for a female rider.
