This binder is easy to setup and use. The feature to put the coil through the holes worked too well for me. I kept having the coils move into the holes and come out the other side before I could stop them. I guess it takes practice. The binding machine will come in very handy in the long run, but the thin coils that come with the set were not the right size for me. They hold about 40 sheets of paper. If you want to bind workbooks or thin books, this is fine. I plan to use it for thicker books. Fortunately, it works with larger coils too.

This Spiral Binding Machine is such a convenience to have at home….I have one child in Jr High and one in High School, and this will make their Essays and school projects look neat and tidy. This would be great for home office and work projects as well.
The hole punching process is manual, and up to 12 sheets of paper; and the spiral binding is done electrically. It comes with a crimping tool to cut off any excess coil. It also comes with a box of 100 spiral coils…so it comes ready to get started.
The machine is heavy duty metal and easy to use…the instructions are very clear and easy to follow. It tells me exactly what kind of paper to use, how to place them, everything is step by step. I wasn’t able to test this out properly because I don’t have the paper yet, but I did a trial run on regular notebook paper and the holes punch nicely. This is a great tool that will be very useful to my family. Great product and value.

This binding machine is easy to use and works well. I’m using it to bind workbooks and completed schoolwork for my students. The instruction manual could be a little more thorough, but it’s easy enough to figure out the functions on your own. Comes with plenty of coils to make lots of books and get your money’s worth out of this machine! The electric spinning binder is slightly intimidating. Keep your hair clear of that thing! I ended up just spinning the coil through the holes by hand and it was easy enough!

While this machine appears to be heavy duty at first, given the weight and all, it quickly proves to be a disaster. The first indication is some rust on the shaft that activates the hole punchers. After that, the hole in the end of the shaft and the hole in the handle do not match up making it impossible to get the screw on to hold the handle in place. The biggest issue is in the actual punching of the holes, only a few hole punchers on each end work. The rest in the middle never make contact with the paper. The handle will move only a couple inches indicating that something is binding inside preventing all the punchers from working. Apparently, there is no quality control at all with the manufacturer. It would be extremely simply to just do a few test punches at the factory. Send me one that works like it should and I will be happy to give it a truthful review. As it is, this binder is JUNK! I would NOT recommend it to anyone!
6/9 – I am updating like I said I would. I was sent a replacement that works. It punches all the holes instead of just the ones on the ends. The handle lines up with the hole on the shaft. Therefore, I am adding a few more stars. Still, there is rust on the shaft, so I think they must be using a lower quality metal. In addition, the motorized roller seems to be unnecessary. The spiral can be insert by hand easier and more efficiently.
Conclusion – I would say to give it a try but you might have to send it back. For something like this, they really need to test every unit at the factory. It would only take a minute and would result in fewer returns.

I love making my own journals, so I was excited to get this Makeeasy Spiral Binding Machine. It is so easy to use, and the binding is much more secure than using combs. It comes with settings for A5, A4, and letter size, but it’s easy to adapt it for other size binding needs. The binder can punch holes on 12 pieces of paper, or 2 sheets of PVC/Cardstock, or 1 sheet of cardboard at a time. Once the holes are done, the coil can be threaded manually a couple of times, and then the electric coil inserter will do the rest in no time. A box of 100 coils and a pair of coil crimper pliers are included, so I was ready to go once I set up the machine. I absolutely recommend the Makeeasy Spiral Binding Machine for people’s offices, classrooms, art studios, or other work places where fast and easy binding is needed.

This is a great device. I run two businesses and some of my creations require detailed instructions. I try to keep them on one page but often, much more is needed. This spiral binder lets me do a professional job of binding larger groups of pages like maybe some of my patent documents. The best part is that the pages flip effortlessly like the spiral notebooks you might remember form school. You get 100 spirals but they can be reused if needed. Let’s say you have a script for a play then need something different next year. Just unbind the old ones and roll up the new ones. It will also do smaller jobs like daily flip calendars. Really cool.
