Maui Jim Kahuna Polarized Rectangular Sunglasses

I’m an optician and spend all day working with lenses. I have no financial interest in Maui Jim, but I have sold their products in the past. Although I’m in the business, where I work now we don’t have access to Maui Jim. I could have had several other types of sunglasses for free, but I actually paid retail for these glasses instead. Maui Jim’s are just that good. I love the glass lenses, the polarization is great, and the anti-reflective coating is high quality. Glass is heavy and can potentially break, but I do like the quality optics and superior scratch resistance it provides. Overall these sunglasses are pretty heavy but they feel substantial and can be adjusted to fit just right.
These sunglasses are expensive but worth it. I tend keep sunglasses for years so I splurged on these.

Got the Maui Jim Kahuna sunglasses. Gunmetal frames with Neutral grey lens. This is my second pair of Maui Jim. Product arrived as advertised in 2 days from Sunglass Outlet with a nice price. Great job.

My earlier pair were the lightweight titanium frame sunglasses so I knew coming in that this pair would be a little heavier, but they are still a good weight. This pair is heavier duty due to the lenses being actual glass instead of plastic, which I wanted because I am pretty hard on sunglasses. Plastic lenses are easier to scratch. I will need to adjust the nose piece and the temples but these sunglasses will be able to do that.

If you have never had Maui Jim sunglasses, you don’t know what your missing. Here in Texas we get lots of sun and these lenses will have you seeing everything with great colors and no squinting.

I’ve happily owned several of this Kahuna style of Maui Jim’s for 20 years. They are sooo comfortable on my face, thin clear polarized glass lenses, solid durable frame that doesn’t warp or bend, arms don’t tweak or loosen and their classic rectangular look never goes out of style. I’m hard on sunglasses, but even my older ones look and feel brand new. If you need prescription lenses you can take these glasses to your optometrist and have your specialized lenses installed. The glasses come with a really large, sturdy, hard two piece protective case. I love Maui Jim sunglasses so much that I even convinced my 84 y/o mother into buying a pair in a different style. She said they were the best and most comfortable sunglasses she’s ever owned. The current price, here on Amazon 3/2023, of $319 is the same price offered on the Maui Jim website. Maui Jim doesn’t allow other companies to discount their products, so you won’t find them anywhere selling for less. These sunglasses are expensive, but worth every penny because their outstanding quality will serve you for years. I LOVE these sunglasses !!!!

Very stylish, good qualities, very well made, exceptional polarizing capabilities, very expensive appearance. I just replaced my previous pair of Maui Jims exact same style of which I owned with no problems for nearly 20 yrs do to my own fault! If this new pair last as long chances are they’ll be burying me in them…LOL In other words BUY A PAIR pricey yes but WHICH other brand (if you take care of them) will last 20 yrs +

This is my second pair of Kahuna Sunglasses. My first pair were lost many years ago. I replaced them with a lovely Big Island (titanium frame) that was similar. I have pretty much decided Maui Jim and I are friends for life. The glass is stellar, the color enrichment outdoors and while driving is premium.

The foldable case is still questionable, but I do like it as I can put it in a pocket and not have a large bulge, which is why I didn’t lug around my old cases. I’m more likely to use this case when out and about.
