This is one heavy bed! I couldnโt lift it out of the driveway so I had to carry it in by pieces, which took awhile as there are a lot of pieces!!! The wood is a bit rough, but I guess thatโs the farmhouse kind of rustic thing. I hired a pro to assemble it and boy, am I glad I did. Took him 4 hours!
Most of the pieces were numbered with the exception of several boards. And there are so, so many screws (like someone else said, a million! LOL). The instructions are all pictures, no words.
It looks great though and am very happy with it. My grandson loves to hide, so the cubby underneath is perfect.
If youโre on the fence about it, just buy it, youโll be happy with it!

This bed is very cute, super fun and very sturdy! It is a loft bed but it isn’t too high for a mom to make the bed. It says to use a 5″ to 8″ mattress but we bought a 10″ just for added comfort and support as our son grows. The little play cubby underneath is great! We added a padded rug, some wall stickers and lights but you could do anything. It doesn’t look very big in the pictures but I can fit inside it and sit up slightly. It provides the perfect space for your little one to play. It does take a little while to put together so be patient. I highly recommend this bed!

Very, very pleased with this bed. We were looking for something that would offer our 12 year old daughter a place to maintain a permanent fort and this fit the bill. The forts in the living room were getting a little old as I didnโt have the heart to make her take a fort down until I saw that she had stopped using it with any real consistency. She is approximately 5 feet tall and weighs 85 pounds. She is able to crawl in and out with ease, and while it is too low of a ceiling for her to fully sit up underneath, there is plenty of room to crawl around and lean against her pillows to enjoy a book, electronics, or a snooze. The bed itself is able to accommodate plenty of weight. I donโt recall the exact number from the advertisement, but it is definitely sturdy and well manufactured. My daughter and I (mom) put it together ourselves without any issues; took about 4 hours Iโd sayโฆwe just worked a couple hours over two days. The instructions were clearer than most that I have encountered in my 45 years, with the parts nicely labeled to eliminate guessing. The only tools youโll need, in addition to the Allen wrenches that are provided, is a drill with a Phillips head bit and a Phillips head screwdriver (to use to tighten the screws and make them flushโthe drill at that stage can strip a head). The wood looks like it is painted with a dull, white primer (not glossy or shiny) and has a nice feel to it. Some spots have a little roughness to them, but I think it is the aesthetic look that the manufacturer was going for, rather than sloppy craftsmanship. I also like the option to have the book shelf and drawer on the left or the rightโฆwe chose the right due to the configuration of her room. We also chose not to install the drawer itself as it takes up a lot of space inside the fort. We simply glued the face of the drawer on with some wood glue; it just looks like it was meant to be a faux drawer. The bed itself is about halfway up the wall, which is nice as it is not so tall that it overcrowds or make the room look small. You will not need a boxspring with this. She had one with her old bed, but when we put on both the boxspring and the mattress, it made the top of the mattress flush with the top of the wooden sides. Not safe. Using just the mattress itself allows her to have the protection of the wooden sides in the event she rolls at night. I really cannot think of any cons. It is very sturdy once it is assembled and it checks all of our boxes. I hope this review is helpful. I rarely write them, but since I always read through them before I make a purchase, I took the time today. Good luck!

At first glance I was really not that impressed seeing the materials it was made from. That being said upon assembly I was questioning its sturdiness although fairly easy to assemble it just felt flimsy. Well I passed judgement to quicklyโฆ.as I began to bolt the bigger assembled pieces together it became very sturdy. The amount of pieces it comes in leads one to believe it could be weak. Glad to say I was so wrong in thinking that. And the lil cubby underneath serves as a perfect lil doggie home for our family dog whoโs a 76lb Bully breed who adores our daughter but is kind of a bed hog so they each needed their own space. A nice size dog bed underneath and my daughter up top and now they each have their own space. I am pleasantly surprise at its combined price point and quality over all. I definitely recommend this product.

This is a SUPER cute bed. Easy to put together, I did it myself under 2 hours. Nothing came damaged, had all the parts, it’s sturdy, and the finish is nice. My only complaint is the dang drawer! I assumed it would be flush with the shelf above it… Wrong. It’s double the depth. And it’s OPEN. Your toddler can sit right in the drawer, or fall over into it from the play area underneath. If you own pets, they’re going to be in there. I’ll cut it down myself, and this is the reason it won’t be getting all the stars.
