Medela Manual Breast Pump With Flex Shields

I would 10 out of 10 recommend this hand pump. It’s incredibly convenient for nursing on one side and pumping on the other. Honestly, I find it works even better than a traditional manual pump. It’s a lifesaver during breastfeeding because you don’t have to set up and clean a full pump just for one side.

I’m deducting one star because it only came with one flange size. I had to order a larger size separately to accommodate my piercings. It would have been helpful if the product description mentioned the included size. Despite this, I still highly recommend it. It’s painless and very effective overall.

I’ve used a double electric pump (medela pump in style) and way prefer this little guy for occasional pumping! I find it extracts milk very efficiently and empties me more effectively than the electric pump, if anything I have to be careful not to create oversupply as it’s so good. Very convenient and discreet on the go and great not having to be plugged in, quick and easy to wash as there are only a few parts. Highly recommend getting this if you are mostly breastfeeding with occasional pumping!👌

I got this to pump the milk my little one doesn’t get out of my breast after a feeding so I could avoid dragging out the electric pump every time. Unfortunately, I have been a little underwhelmed. Maybe it’s my body, but there’s a bit of technique involved to keep it on the breast, and the yielded result just really isn’t worth the trouble. Good hand workout, and I could maybe see this being useful if I was on the go and engorged. For my situation, I’ll be sticking to the haaka and electric pump.

I love love love this pump! So convenient to have on my nightstand for a quick pump to completely empty after nighttime or early morning feeds, I also always bring it along in the diaper bag when we are out. Sometimes it’s the simplest items that make motherhood and breastfeeding so much easier, and this item is one of those things!

My baby is almost a month old and I’ve been primarily using an electric pump. I wanted the Medela Harmony for when I might need to pump when I’m out of the house. But I actually am getting almost double the output using this pump, and even though I have to do one breast at a time, I get more milk and faster! I can pump each side for maybe 5 minutes whereas with my electric pump, I’m using it for 20 minutes and getting less milk. I am unsure why this is the case. But this pump works very well and I recommend it!

I went back to work so I had to start pumping for my exclusively breast-fed baby. I tried both the very expensive Willow and my medical grade Spectra and I was getting absolutely nothing. Maybe half an ounce after 30 minutes+ of pumping. I had pretty much resigned myself to the very sad reality that I would probably have to start supplementing with formula. I remembered seeing a girl with this pump at a concert I went to (in the breastfeeding tent) so as a last ditch effort, I ordered it and gave it a try. I couldn’t believe my eyes. After thinking I just wasn’t producing milk anymore because of my horrible results with the electric pumps, I got about 10oz on my first morning pump session with this hand pump after only 15-20 minutes. I thought it was too good to be true but I have kept getting the same results each morning. I have even gotten as much as 12oz in one sitting and it’s fast! I use it during the work day too every 2-3 hours and it’s so much easier because it’s less stuff to clean and so simple to use, unlike the electric ones which are a mess of a million parts, wires, plastic bags, etc. I have never written an Amazon review before but I feel like I need to tell all breastfeeding moms about this! I wish I had known about it before spending all that money on the wireless electric pump and getting depressed over my now very wrong assumption that I just couldn’t get results pumping. Buy this, it is seriously a game changer!
