Melling makes great products, thanks.
Dan B –
Can’t beat the quality of melling at a reasonable price. Ditch the stock plastic coupler and use the steel melling oil pump drive shaft.
Adriab –
Buena calidas
Rick Avery –
A must for lt1 oil pump change or engine rebuild, all steel
Tim –
It works fine… Certainly more dependable than a plastic sleeve that’s going to become more brittle with each heat cycle.
But the shaft itself is a smaller diameter than the stock shaft and it makes it a bit tricky to stab the primer tool and the distributor but once it’s stabbed, you can quit worrying about it.
Johnny Westbrook –
This part and new oil pump together, tough!!
G-NUT –
I bought this for my mild performance rebuild of a 350, 4-bolt main motor from a ’79 Z28. I bought this pickup at the same time I bought a new stock Melling oil pump and pickup tube. It all seems to be working well.
Jim –
went into my Altered dragster
TheFryer –
used in my 383 sbc. could not be any happier. thick, strong and clears everything. no issues with my hei, or hold 80psi oil pressure.
Kevin P. –
A must have especially with a high volume oil pump, and the extra torque created by them. The shaft has a nice fit and finish and is very heavy duty. I paired it up with a high volume oil pump and now have PLENTY of oil pressure and piece of mind that the driveshaft wont fall apart in my newly rebuilt engine.
Ralph Longfellow –
I searched for a bbc and got this one for a sbc. I will use it on the next motor rebuild. Looks all right
