I’ve been using the Poly for years But needed another tuner for another pedal board, I didn’t know if this was gonna be as good but it’s actually better In some ways. It doesn’t have the all strings feature. Like the polytune does. But when you hit a string it shifts around a little bit before it locks in on the green line. And that to me is a huge improvement over the other tuner. It cuts down on tuning time substantially.

I love how little this pedal is. Works for any type of tuning. 🙂

I have no issues with this pedal and is quite accurate.

I bought this before ordering a Polytune Mini, because I wanted to see if this one is “good enough”.
tl;dr maybe? but I have some concerns:
1. I saw in another review that occasionally this tuner will become unresponsive, and require you to unplug and plug the DC adapter to reset it. I hoped that this might be only one person’s bad luck, but the same thing is happening with mine, and in less than 20 uses, I’ve already had to unplug/replug it twice. I don’t know if this is something that gets worse, or if it’s just an intermittent glitch that will always be as it is. Because it’s a true bypass pedal, I do not *think* you need to worry about it ever messing up your signal when it’s not engaged, but it’s still a quality control issue.
2. I find that the resolution of its tuning indicators seemed to be a little bit lower than what I would expect and have seen from other tuners, but I wasn’t sure. I do know that sometimes after I’ve tuned with this pedal, I immediately question whether the tuning I got was spot-on. So I tried searching online for the specs for the tuner. Because the specs may have been written in another language and translated to english, the terminology is nonstandard. Instead of saying “cents” like you’d expect, the documentation says “A high precision tuning micro pedals can be accurate to 1 point.” I do not know a) what is 1 point? is it 1 cent? something else? and b) what does “can be accurate” mean? does that mean it might be much less accurate, but *can* be this accurate? In any case, if it is actually that 1 point = 1 cent, this is NOT great. In contrast, the Polytune is spec’d as “Lightning-fast chromatic tuner offers 0.5 cent accuracy. Ultra-precise strobe tuner gives you ±0.02 cent accuracy for ultimate tuning performance.” So they’re guaranteeing at least twice as good in chromatic tuner mode, and 50 times better in strobe mode.
So I think if you’re not really desperate to save money, or are wiling to go on the used market for a Polytune 2 (like I did), you may be better off paying $25-30 more than going with the Mooer.
On the positive side, it’s pretty, and it’s small, and it seems well-built structurally.
That’s just my 2 points… I mean 2 cents 😉

This is a great little tuner for my bass guitar. Accurate and easy to use. Just get it – you won’t be disapponted.
