An angled metal trim removal tool made short work of removing the old step pads, and a dead blow hammer was perfect for seating the new pads in their clips.

It was a perfect match, I used a thin center punch to knock the broken tabs through. Then lined up the new piece, took the palm of my hand and got it started, then I had to use a rubber mallet to sink it into place.
