If You are a knife snob – just move on. But if You are looking for a good value sturdy tool – this may be your thing.
I must admit, I’m NOT an expert by any means. But for the price You pay (mine was about CAD32), it’s a good deal. Of course it’s not perfect. But what is? )))))
The following is MY personal opinion and my personal opinion only. Yours may vary.
These knives came razor sharp and ready to go. I was able to basically shave off my arm hair easily. They feel sturdy, well balanced and comfortably heavy. I doubt You will go bear hunting with these knives alone but who will? 😉
Both handles fit my hand nicely. Though the small one is a bit tiny (look at the picture as attached). I was satisfied with how both sheathings hang on my belt.
As many of the knives enthusiasts mentioned already, You may improve these knives if You feel so. The sky is the limit. For me though it was a good value set. And I’m looking forward to enjoy it while sailing, boating and camping

Excellent knife set. Beautiful finish on handles. At this price point, I believe just the small one would be worth it. Very happy with my purchase.

    I give these 2 knives 2 stars each … so 4 stars.
Just kidding. I’m rating the 6 inch blade hunter, based on the fact that it’s a $12 knife. And for $12 for a 6″ hunting knife, you don’t expect much – (or you shouldn’t).
So, here’s what you get for $22.
Two knives. 1 a 6″ blade, 1 a 4″ blade. Both blades are hollow ground, clip point, and arrive fairly sharp. Both take sharpening well, and that’s good, because they will need sharpened often.
They appear unfinished. The blades have the grinding marks that were not buffed out. The stacked leather handles are unfinished, rough and unsealed.
Think of these as a knife kit — a project for you to finish.
But, for $22, you are actually getting your money’s worth. If you want a fixed blade hunter for that once a year campout, or playing mumbly peg in the back yard — this is your knife.
Why did I buy it ?
I keep several like these in a pouch on my pack. Invariably, while camping, someone wants to borrow my knife. I reach in the pouch and hand them one of these. So when they break the tip off, or roll the edge, or even lose it — I don’t care. and if they return it intact — that’s good, and maybe next time I’ll let them use the $30 knife.
In the end – if you’re looking for a good quality knife – spend $80 to $100 for a Buck or a Case, and if you want a top end knife – go for the Randall Made knife for $400 – $500 … and I guarantee you’ll also want a couple of these — because you ain’t gonna let anyone borrow that knife.
Just an added note. I live in a very rural area, and the 4 inch blade has become an everyday carry – I don’t have to remember to take it off my belt before a trip into town, as I would a larger blade. The sheath fits on my belt and sits in my back pocket so that only the handle is visible.

They look great, and I like the small one very much. Unfortunately they are cheaply made. Fine for a blade for in the garage for miscellaneous stuff.

I love these knives! They are bang for the buck. I have bought about 8 sets so far (gifts etc) They take a great edge and feel good in your hand. The plastic liners in the sheaths make them very functional. I even took the liners out of one set and wrapped them in leather! Bam! low cost leather sheath! If you are disappointed with these knives at this great price I just don’t know what to tell you!

I’d pay this much for the one big knife, and got a second as a bonus! Gave to my son, he loves it. Stood up well and held an edge all camping season. Very sharp. Sheath is one of the best I’ve seen with any low price consumer knife. Stainless Blade is obviously more brittle than steel but will do any domestic activities you want from it.

    Specifications:
    • Blade thickness: 3.6 mm & 2.1 mm
    • Total blade length: 5.8 inches & 4.1 inches
    • Made in China
    • Fuller (“blood groove”) on one side only (the big knife, the small one has no fuller)

The manufacturer says it is a full tang. It is really hard to believe that: the handle is so light that the tang has to be very thin (“rat tail”) if it is full. It does not make an impression of a strong sturdy unbreakable knife! But the handguard and everything else fit tight and do not rattle.

Condition: 5 stars. No defects, scratches, stains or rubs.

Sharpness: 5 stars. They were pretty good out of the box, I honed them a bit more and now they are shaving-sharp, especially the smaller one.

Sheaths: 5 stars. The knives fit tight, no problems with the sheaths so far, but… but I have another Mossy Oak knife, a bigger one (10-inch blade — see pics), and it has exactly the same sheath but larger. After a few months, the plastic insert disengaged from that sheath, and now every time I pull that knife out of its sheath it comes out with that plastic insert! I tried to fix it with superglue but it didn’t work out. But it is THAT sheath, from THAT knife — these ones are okay so far. Maybe one of the reasons is that I don’t use these knives nearly as often as the big one, which I use nearly every time I go to the woods.

Handle: 4 stars. When the leather gets dry it expands a little and does not cling tightly to the handle anymore. I submerged it in warm water and the leather shrank back. It is a good idea to apply some leather conditioner as well. The handle of the bigger knife seems a little thin for my regular-sized hand; the smaller one is just… small.

Sturdiness: 3 stars (big) and 2 stars (small). I tried the bigger knife at some basic woodwork, like whittling and light-duty chopping. Nothing remarkable in terms of cutting performance :(( But it did not fall apart but I’m afraid to put it to a more strenuous test.

In general, these knives look fabulous on a display but it is hard to imagine them in any heavy-duty work.

These are great knives and have a great grip. The blade is sharp and holds an edge well. They fit well on a belt and are safe to carry with a snap closure. Not too heavy.

I recently purchased the Mossy Oak 2-piece Bowie Knife, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. From the moment I laid eyes on it, I was impressed by its rugged yet elegant design. The leather handle not only adds a touch of classic style but also provides a comfortable grip, making it easy to handle during long hunting trips.

The fixed blade is sturdy and durable, perfect for tackling any task I throw its way. Whether I’m slicing through thick brush or preparing game, this knife performs flawlessly. Plus, the included sheath ensures that the knife is always safely stored and ready for action whenever I need it.

Overall, the Mossy Oak Bowie Knife exceeds my expectations in terms of quality, functionality, and style. It’s a must-have for any outdoor enthusiast or hunter looking for a reliable and versatile tool. Highly recommended!

I purchased this set for hiking and camping. The set consists of two useful sized knives and sheaths. The handles are beautiful, the blades are high quality. The sheaths are top of the line quality in my opinion. I can’t believe what a great deal these knives are!
