MotorPower Care Catalytic Converter & Oxygen Sensor Cleaner

Put 2 cans of product..and after 2wks..check engine is still on..

My check engine light came on and when I plugged my scanner to my vehicle, it read P0430 Code: Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2). Now I know that it can mean several things, either a bad and/or dirty catalytic converter or a O2 sensor went out (those are the most common diagnosis for that reading). But before I went and bought a new O2 sensor, I decided to put this additive to clean it out without having to dish out close to $100.00 part and get down under to change it out.

After adding the additive before I filled up my vehicle, it cleared to off in no time! Drove it around the city for about 30 minutes and viola!! No more bad reading and no more check engine light on! I’m going to start using this on my other vehicles from now on for preventative maintenance. I highly recommend this product!

I had high hopes for the MotorPower Catalytic Converter Cleaner, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. Despite following the instructions to a T, this product failed to resolve the check engine light issue on my vehicle.
I initially purchased this cleaner because it was more affordable than the popular Cataclean brand, which I’ve used in the past with great success. However, after using an entire bottle of the MotorPower cleaner and still having the check engine light stubbornly illuminated, I decided to give it one more try with a second bottle.
Sadly, even after exhausting the second bottle, the dreaded check engine light remained on. At this point, it became evident that this product was simply not effective enough to tackle the catalytic converter issue in my car.
While the MotorPower Catalytic Converter Cleaner may work for some milder cases, it clearly wasn’t potent enough to handle the specific problem in my vehicle. I’m disappointed that I wasted money on two bottles of this cleaner when I could have saved myself the hassle and just purchased the more expensive but reliable Cataclean from the start.
Moving forward, I’ll be sticking with the tried-and-true Cataclean brand, as it has consistently delivered results and never let me down. While the MotorPower cleaner may be cheaper, it’s simply not worth the frustration and potential for further complications when it fails to do its job properly.

I’ve had the error code P0420 in my car for a while now. I’ve tried Cataclean. I’ve tried K&N Performance+ Fuel System Cleaner. I’ve tried other fuel system cleaners such as Chevron’s. None has worked and my P0420 error code persisted. My mechanic said the catalytic converter might need to be replaced or the O2 sensors are damaged by gunk. I’m not going to spend around $3,000 for a new catalytic converter. Another option the mechanic said was to buy a catalytic converter cleaner. I said it’s worth a shot. Went to Amazon and found this item by MotorPower. This must be new because I haven’t seen this before. I said what the heck I’ll give it a shot. So, I waited until my gas tank was 1/4 full. Then, I added a can of this to the tank. Drove around for a bit and revved the engine up a bit as well. Filled the gas tank with top-tier gas 93 octane. P0420 was still lit. It wasn’t looking good, but I figured I’d only lose $30. Then, suddenly the P0420 check engine light error went away last week. I thought it will probably come back. However, it has been a week now and no P0420 error! Whoa, this stuff actually works for my car. Amazing. Saved me thousands of dollars. I will probably treat my car with this stuff more often. I recommend this to anyone with the P0420 O2 sensor error code. Give it a shot. It wouldn’t hurt.

One of the O2 sensors on my SUV did not work for awhile post battery replacement. I was told use both bottles in two tanks of gas and drive a few hundred miles. I had to drive roughly 600 miles for both sensors ( pre and post catalytic converter ) to function properly. So took another tank after both bottles for the emissions system to pass the test. I went to check the at the emission testing center every 200 miles or so. Did this product work? I’d like to think so.
