Installed in minutes. Works like a charm. A must for Taylor Guitar owners with 9V Expression Systems who have ever had a strap come loose. Will be using it with Schaller Security Straplocks as soon as they are delivered via Amazon. Very pleased with the purchase.

Ingenious design that makes replacing batteries a snap. The strap button is designed to work with shaller type strap locks which I did right away. Just need to replace button at the neck heel

I have an L R Baggs pickup on my acoustic guitar. The pick-up socket extends from bottom of the guitar as you would expect. The jack button is too big to fit a strap over and have it securely hold the guitar. And even if you could get a strap over the jack button, there is no way to use a strap lock on it. So this is where MusicNomad ACOUSTI-LOK saves the day. The ACOUSTI-LOK is made to screw onto the pick-up jack socket and provide a strap button that accommodates Schaler S lock guitar strap. Easy peasy. There are You Tube videos that show you how to install it. Pretty simple and highly effective. One word of caution. The screw thread on a pick-up jack can be either metric or imperial. It depends on the brand of pickup that you use. You can buy ACOUSTI-LOKs in either metric or imperial. So make sure you buy the right type for your pickup that you have. My pick up being a Baggs takes the metric version. See photo of my guitar with completed installation. I could remove this in 60 seconds if I wanted to .

Perfect fit for LG pickup. Easy to install. 3 seconds. Good quality. Good price.

Hard playing and constant strap on/off and twisting caused me to lose the original external, screw-on sleeve/strap holder (K&K pickup) on my guitar. The stress on the pickup from the 1/4″ plug being yanked around by the strap was a major issue, too, and this device is the answer! I don’t use the “system” that it fits with – no need, just works fine by itself. It was easy to screw on and I love that the pin is separated from the strap attach point. I am using a typical leather strap with punched holes/slits. Why didn’t someone invent this earlier? It is nearly impossible to buy just the screw-on part that I originally lost somewhere… this solved my problem forever!

It fits my Martin acoustic and was easy to install. My guitar jack was double nutted with a rubber washer between. I removed the outer nut and left the rubber washer which helps keep my adapter in place. What I don’t like is that this adapter is only about 1 inch long from the center of my jack to the center of the button that connects to the strap. When connected, my strap extends down to the center of the jack. Trying to plug a straight guitar chord plug in with the strap in the way is impossible. It is difficult to plug a 90 degree guitar chord plug and push the strap out of the way. And when plugged in, the strap is constantly binding against the guitar chord plug. This adapter could be 1/4 to 1/2″ longer to get 5 stars. Thus 4 stars.
I have a sturdy padded guitar strap to help with neck pain. The strap has nice stitching along the edges. So I cannot clip leather from the end of my strap or it will disturb the stitching. I connect my strap with the narrow end up at the neck and the fat end down by the jack. There is too much width to connect the fat end up by the neck which interferes with playing high on the neck.

Absolutely does what it says on the tin. Make sure you order the correct device for your guitar and buy the correct locking button for the neck connection that uses the existing screw. Very pleased after contacting Taylor direct for advice. Taylor recommended this device for their acoustic guitars with the new Expression System. Brilliant attachment for my new 414ce Custom and gives you comfort that you’re not going to drop your expensive guitar.

This is a really well made piece, but it sadly doesn’t fit my hummingbird. That was my fault for not checking the threads first
