I love these light timers. They are small, they have fade in and out when using timer. Only issue I had was loose plugs, just added tape and no issues then.

I’ve had this timer for just under a year, originally purchased on May 21, 2023 (today is May 19, 2024). About a week ago I noticed my fish tank light was off after coming back from a weekend trip. I thought maybe my friend who fed my fish while I was away turned it off for some reason and reset the timer. Nope, the light was off again by the time I got home from class. I spent another day battling the timer function before giving up and deciding to just manually turn the light on and off and order a new timer. Last night, the light kept turning itself on randomly. The timer function was NOT engaged so I kept having to get up to turn it off again. My tank is in my room so it is definitely disruptive to my sleep to have the light turning on in the middle of the night. Today I ordered a new timer from a different company when I woke up this morning to the light being on again. I will be disconnecting this timer from the light system of my tank and maintaining the light manually until the new timer arrives.
TL;DR: the timer lasted just under a year and the week it started dying was mildly frustrating trying to figure out what was going on. For only $10 it worked pretty well. I’m disappointed it didn’t last longer but with daily use I guess a year is pretty decent. I’m ordering a better timer for future use.

I went with this timer because it was for a LED light over a 75g fancy goldfish tank. Unfortunately there’s two issues with this timer. 1.) It doesn’t retain the on/off time of day if you lose power. 2.) Reliability it only worked for 9 or 10 months. I have various versions of NICREW LED timers and for the price point I will continue to purchase but they typically need replacing after 18 months so this one was disappointing. I will be replacing 3 LED timer/dimmers with again with the digital clock to retain the schedule especially for my planted tanks.

I used to keep a 24/7 ‘natural’ daylight cycle running on my LED aquarium light, from another brand, but it got wet, long ago, and the daylight cycle function stopped working, so I’ve been turning it on and off, manually, for over a year. When I saw this product, I thought it would be worth a try, and I’d send it back if it wasn’t compatible. Well, it works like a dream on my expensive LED lamp system, and it was easier to set up than the controller with four hundred buttons. It’s only been going for a few hours, but I’m thrilled to see it go through sunrise again! This product can be a great work-around for lighting systems that the native 24hr light cycle is no longer functioning!

I’ve bought two of these and each one has stopped working after only a couple months. Nice when it worked. But seeing as the same thing has happened to two of them, I think these are defective in their design.

I was worried after reading some of the reviews but this actually works for my top fin lid. It even dims the lights and the scheduled timer actually works which is amazing. I did just get it so I’m not sure if it’ll last long or not so here’s to hoping!

Only con is When we lose power I need to power off and on the main switch that it’s plugged into. Not an issue but some people may not try that.

All I wanted was something to dim the lights that wouldn’t cost a fortune or need any special setup. I was amazed they actually made a dimmer for my aquarium lights. Works in line with the cord…..plugs right in. I am not all that concerned with a timer since I have my lights plugged into an Alexa outlet….just wanted the lights lower for my betta. I am completely satisfied!
