First off I strongly suspect this “new” product was previously opened at some point, the sloppy packing tape wrap on the box really did not look like a factory seal. But it was at least close enough to “new” that I don’t mind it, everything was included in the box and it was in perfect condition.
I bought this to replace a cheaper electric kettle that I’d gotten frustrated with. It didn’t pour cleanly (messy at best, dangerous at worst), the button to open the lid only responded maybe 20% of the time, and it looked as cheap as it was sitting on my counter. The Ninja kettle fully solves all those issues, plus another issue that I didn’t even know could be solved, which is the steam given off as water starts to boil (a menace to the cupboards above) — this kettle completely contains the steam, it’s actually quite remarkable.
The user interface is well designed. Intuitive, responsive, easy to read, clear indications of what’s happening. I might not have minded a definitive “off” button, but the safest thing is just to unplug it (and that is what the manual directs).

I originally ordered the Cosori temperature control glass kettle, I didn’t want one with plastic inside. It turned out to be poor quality, there were manufacturing defects. I couldn’t find an alternative glass kettle that looked good, so I compromised and got this one. Aside from the plastic parts inside, it’s great! It has great build quality, it feels very premium. I really like the live temperature reading, and the ability to set any temperature. I’ve been using it to make green tea which requires 80C water. It is well insulated and keeps water hot for quite a while after it’s finished, plus it has a keep warm feature. This is my third Ninja product, I like this brand.

Finally a kettle that doesn’t drip all over the counter when you pour!! It was kind of expensive for a kettle, but having other Ninja products, we knew it would be a quality kettle. We are really happy with its performance. Not to mention, it looks great. Love that it has temperature presets. Well worth it.
