Vincent –
no digital code received. what’s up
Chris Barrett –
I love the fire emblem series and dynasty warriors so this is just a no brainer. There is more depth then the dw games but I like the base building and strategy of this one.
James Ortiz –
I was missing this on my musou game collection and friend recommended it. Having fun on it so far. The digital download code delivery was also swift, took about 10 minutes for it to appear on my order list and code was legit.
Katie Mills –
At first I thought I didn’t get a code because I couldn’t find it in the app or under digital purchases, but I eventually found it looking at the order details for the game. I had to do it through the website. I did receive a code, though, and it redeemed correctly, so I can’t really complain.
Robert Bliss –
For those wanting to know how to find the code in order to actually redeem and receive the game:
Go to the “Your Orders” page on your Amazon
Find Three Hopes and click “View Order Details”
Click “View your item”
The code will be on that page. Just follow the very simple instructions from there and enjoy!
As for the game itself, this is easily one of the best Musou-style games I’ve ever played! It probably helps that I’m a huge fan of Fire Emblem games in general and of Three Houses in particular. If the same is true for you, this is a must-have game.
Vincent –
Digital Version is 13.4GB (excluding patches, any future dlc). Exclusive to digital version is the messenger owl who randomly visits you base camp. You get owl feathers which boost your support levels with other characters.
Like the original Fire Emblem Warriors where you fight hordes of enemies that stand around minding their own business (except maybe bosses, base captain/commander) while you slash them down and take over/defending territories around the map (and escorting/protecting specific untis). This time story takes place in Three Houses instead of Awakening
The game is story and dialogue heavy compared to Hyrule Warriors for example. You’ll spend more than half the time in cutscenes, dialogue choices and in base camp increasing support levels towards your teammates.
–Various difficulty and modes you expect from Fire Emblem games:
Easy, hard, normal
Casual or classic. Classic = permadeath
‘Slow and Steady’, ‘Quick and Efficient’. Latter have you control troops in real time
–Story:
Takes place before Fire Emblem Three Houses in an alternate timeline. You play Shez (choose male or female) who’s struck down by Byleth and revived by a spirit Arval (only you can see/hear). You then find yourself in Officers Academy and choose to ally yourself in one of 3 houses (Azure Gleam, Scarlet Blaze, or Golden Wildfire) . When you reach this point in game, best to create a separate save file if you plan to play all 3 storylines. Like other Fire Emblem games there’s some in-game politics and tough decisions to be made
Cutscenes, support conversations and main story plot are fully voiced. Framerate is consistent most of the time
—Gamplay:
Like a warriors/musou game, you control/take over bases by taking out the camp leader
Strong, Weak, Super Move (on meter). Also able to critical rush on captain/commanders/bosses once you break their guard by doing consistent combos
Exp are given at the end of the level with the MVP gaining bonus exp
After a main story mission, you must complete several side missions in area to progress the story in some cases. Doing side missions do give you stronger items to equip, recruit more units, and of course the exp for competing them
Have the weapon triangle. Certain commanders/captain/bosses have super effectiveness/weakness against other commanding troops. You can command a character in your team and move group to an area. Able to switch between characters on the fly for more fine tune control.
Teammates with high support towards each other give each other buffs when in the same area
There’s also passive situational stat buffs like some characters likes to be with opposite gender, certain terrain, extra boost when consuming certain healing items, etc
Able to hire battalions that fight alongside characters
Equip different weapons and armor/accessories
Various classes to master and switch to/level up for different units in your team
Able to get training points to upgrade classes or gain exp in training area of base camp
Upgrade base camp for more support level opportunities and weapon purchases etc
-Support Levels
Main story choices increase affection/support level of certain units automatically
Support conversations are C to A rank. Some characters only having C or B rank.
To gain support exp, levels you can:
Talk to them at base camp
Spend activity points to increase affection by doing chores, giving gifts, and cooking
Some allies have favorite chores that increases support levels than others.
No romance or marriage option but you are able to go on horseback riding dates (instead of tea time in last game)
-Bonuses:
If you have save file from Fire Emblem: Three Houses you get extra items and gold to start
Amiibo: Tap any amiibo to get random in-game weapon, coins, or item. Once per day.
Like other warriors/musou games; combat can get repetitive but the social link system, base upgrades, story and different classes to choose from switches things up a bit
Cathy C. –
The story in the three routes were long enough to justify the price. Gameplay can be repetitive if you decide to play the routes back to back. Shez is also a good character. I wish that there was more backstory for Shez.
