I love it! It’s a great way to cook for a large gathering. I just want another rack. I could make 3 sheets of cookies in the smaller oven if I just had another rack. *sigh* First World problems. ๐Ÿ˜

Oven Slides broke after 3 years and we are unable to find parts even on the NXR Website
The Small oven from the start has never cooked well and maintains temperature very poorly.
It was a budget buy at the time and was a regrettable choice looking back on it. basically it is a 48″ Dual oven range and only one side works well. The large oven has always seems to be a little cool about 30 degrees according to our thermometer. You get what you pay for in this case the oven’s are terrible. The range cooks well but the burners can be finicky at 100% and the igniter sometimes wants to keep igniting.

I am not the average do it your self guy, I work with these type of products as a profession. The extremely heavy unit was sent out with one guy in a truck who could not have handled it on his own other than to drop it in the road and drive away.

Arrangements were not made to let us know we needed help to unload it and get it into a secure place, not in the driveway.

There were no directions to change from NG to Propane. The unit needs to be taken almost completely apart to perform the conversion after you watch a few YouTubers do it. The design is bad when any tasks are required for repairs or maintenance. The oven doors do not close properly and are actually burning the outside stainless steel by the door, no adjustment points are available but the appliance guy tried to bend them into place which did not work. The wiring on the switches were switched from the factory, Had to remove three panels to fix it. Burner went out after one year of use. The small oven burner also needed to be replaced after one year.

The range hood comes with mounting brackets for a concrete wall and concrete anchors. The spacing does not work with standard stud wall framing and there is no mention of additional backing being required to properly prepare for the install of this product. I made my own brackets. You can not get access to the hood to vent connections to install screws behind the vent. It is very heavy and takes a few people to install so its not like you can take it up and down to get it right. They only make a vent cover for a 8′ ceiling to cover the duct work, I have not seen a 8′ ceiling in a house with a 48″ range in 25 years of being in the trades, 9′ ceilings are standard. We had to get a custom hood made. With less than a year of the unit being install the high range vent motor started squeaking loudly and it was only used a few times at most. An appliance repair guy came out to fix the range hood and the motor is screwed in from the back of the hood, which means the hood needs to be removed from the wall for the motor to be serviced. He was one guy so he went home with out fixing the hood, I will have to get some of my friends over to help remove the unit and rebuild it myself. When appliance repair guy unpackage the replacement part, a wire was cut on the new part.

The appliance repair guy came with a cordless impact driver and a Leatherman. He did not have a gas meter with him to test pressures. He also came in a pick up truck with no name on it, they are not hiring top in.

If you are a normal consumer this unit will cost you a pile of change orders to have your contractors install it. We purchased this unit because it did not have all the extras, we wanted a robust reliable unit that did not have all kinds of electronics to go bad. I am extremely disappointed in both of these products at the price point and if I did not have the skills and tools I have it would have cost us thousands of dollars to get it installed.

    Buy another product.

Itโ€™s a great product. It gives the feeling of an industrial kitchen. Perfect for modernizing your kitchen and most importantly works great.

The gas range has green giving me issues pretty early on. Had it for 3 years and had to replace the igniter on the larger oven twice already and now the door hinge broke and wouldnโ€™t open (on Thanksgiving no less). Ordered a replacement door from Duro for $500 and it arrived damaged. Not in shipping, but some of the screws were tightened too much and dented the metal inward. The top of the door was warped as well so it wouldnโ€™t close even if installed (I tried). Called them about it and they sent me a second replacement door which also arrived with the top corners warpedโ€ฆreally not sure what to do now. Side note: the matching hood gave me issues from day 1, highest setting rattles the fan. Do not buy.

I recently purchased a NXR Professional Style range. It arrived at my home with multiple defects: The large oven door fell off its hinges (I’m not exaggerating); the igniters on 3 of the 6 burners continue to fire after the burners are lit; the spaces between the doors and the range front are uneven; and the burner knobs are misaligned when all burners are turned off. I communicated these problems to Duro, NXR’s manufacturer, and their only offer was to send a repairman. When the repairman arrived, he was not a Duro employee, admitted that he knew little about Duro products, and told me that I should have purchased another brand. PayPal was no help either. PayPal said we would have to return this 315-lb. range to the manufacturer. To do so would have cost me $300 to have the range moved to the curb and $700 to ship from my home in New York to Duro’s plant in California. Even then, there’s no guarantee that Duro would return my $3,500 payment — they said I would need to send it back in the original packaging. If you’re considering buying a range, definitely do not buy a Duro NXR appliance.
