Oakley Valve is now an oldie but goodie. The model was first introduced around 10 years ago, and marks the major shift in Oakley design that moved away from using metal frames and into using plastic polymers. Itโs lightweight, very durable, has an elegant design, fits very well, and the lens can be replaced easily with other colors/types.
On the negative side: this is already an old model, so spare parts easily with other colors/types.
On the negative side: this is already an old model, so spare parts (unobtanium temple sleeves, nose pads, and replacement lenses) will be hard to come by and you will need to purchase from third party producers. Also, you cannot use the new Oakley Prizm lens with them as they are not produced.
Otherwise, itโs the perfect pair of sunglasses for sport/lifestyle wear!

Versand wie immer sehr schnell. Zur Brille…Ich habe lange nach einer Ersatzbrille fรผr meine Oaklay Scalpel 9505 gesucht die mich viele Jahre begleitet hat und mich fรผr die Valve hier entschieden. Auf den Fotos sieht man ja meist nicht genau wie sie wirklich aussieht. Deswegen war ich sehr positiv รผberrascht, daร sie fast genauso aussieht wie die Scalpel und genauso gut sitzt. Sehr coole Brille und viele unterschiedliche Ersatzglรคser die man extra noch bestellen kann. Einmal Oaklay immer Oaklay sag ich nur.

I bought these for riding my motorcycles – like a designated pair that were kept in their case and stowed on my bikes.
I like the way the rims wrap around the eyes, the bridge and top bar are one piece and the temple is fairly wide where it attaches to the rim. Meaning – they help keep wind and debris out of your eyes for very obvious reasons – not all of us wear a helmet and some wear brain buckets so good riding glasses are essential.
My review here is to direct your attention to the fact that these glasses are polarized (I know it’s clearly printed in the description but read on). As my headline mentions, these are great in an analog world – but it ain’t an analog world anymore.
****First problem – if you have digital gauges (hey this is a problem in a cage ((automobile)) too) you can’t read them.
****Second problem – reading your phone. A lot of riders (doesn’t matter what you’re on) have a mount for their phone – use gps etc. Because the lens on the glasses are polarized you simply cannot see your phone’s screen in the sun or the shade.
I could go on forever about this – but I’ve already written too much – simply put, great product but I cannot recommend these if your intention is to use them as riding glasses.

These Oakley’s are great for driving and golf! Had a pair before and lost them on the course. Fit great and look better.
