I found these burners run with far fewer issues. With the Lite-on units I end up having to take them apart and clean them much more often.

Used this to replace a broken cd/dvd drive in my desktop computer. Installed it myself. Fit was perfect and the drive has been working well after about 30 days of light use. Have not yet burned any discs with this drive, but drive has done the job for both listening and uploading data and music from discs. Price was good enough to prompt me to replace the old drive rather than use an external drive. Recommended.

I put this in my computer, hooked it up and started using it. I have not tried doing anything with it other than playing a CD and reading a DVD.

I still like CDs and DVDs for storing photos. However, I find One Drive problematic for photo storage. I found One Drive unwanted to upload pictures, bill me for more storage, and erase some of my decades-old photos if I do not comply. The only photos I have left from One Drive are now in disconnected drives and old CDs. One drive deleted many pictures after expiring. I’m 72 years old. There are all of those Windows upgrades, too. Windows 11 conflicts with my backup images and fails to load them. Bitlockers are a problem for me when you have a computer that crashes, and you need a network to save it.

Added this plug & play DVD/CD writeable optic drive for my ASUS M32 desktop. Within a matter of 20 minutes, I was recording several songs and played (which when tested in my vehicle). My Windws CPU found the drive and all was very well.
Extra cables and a small a mount of hardware too. Would refer to a friend or family member.

Replaced an older DVD/CD rom drive that would not recognize DVD roms or DVD movies. Tested and the replacement is working as it should.

Running Manjaro and this works just fine . Quiet and fast . I had one of these before and it died after 6 years
and many burning sessions so I got another one , just as good and a great price .
Came packed well in its own box
