Installed the hose on it and couldn’t get it to work properly. Mostly water came out, no poison. I couldn’t even take the cap off to pour it that way. It was annoying to get it to work, so I just tossed it.

Can’t speak to effectiveness yet, but just reading the label I realize I’m not going to get 42 gallons as advertised, I’m going to just get a bit over 21 gal and based on the square footage it recommends per gallon I’m only going to get about 2000 sq ft of coverage. I was thinking I would be getting much more than this, but not after reading the label. 1.5 fl ounce per gallon is rate for most all scenarios.

We’ve got a cabin-on-a-river in Alaska. The very essential place for hordes of mosquitoes to breed and live. In fact, they’re literally the State Bird, and the Blood Bank puts pagers on them during the late-May-mid-July period to save handling the blood.
THIS STUFF WORKS!!! I can spray one bottle-worth in early June and be essentially mosquito-free until the plague of them is over! Even to the point that by the time I’ve completed the circle within hose reach (about 75′) of the cabin (hose bibbs on each side of it), they’re GONE!!! I don’t go a full 75′ out from all points – there are areas I bypass or overshoot. And I spray a bit of distance underneath the cabin – built up on 3′ posts due to potential flooding – but as long as I focus on the areas that are most likely to generate the little buggers, it takes care of them.
I always have a spare bottle or two ‘in stock’ to ensure that I’ve got it when I want to spray (only once a year!) because if the local stores are OUT of it, I’m totally out of luck…and under mosquito attack. It seem to fare okay even if it freezes over the winter – we get down to -35f most years.
Try it…you’ll be equally amazed and LOVE it!!!
And they STAY GONE!

Before spraying this, if my daughter dropped ANY food in the yard, it was a matter of MINUTES before it was literally completely covered in ants. We couldn’t have bird or squirrel feeders because of the slough of ants that would take over! I couldn’t enjoy sitting outside because I’m just a 10 minute span I would end up with 8-10 mosquito bites! For the first application, it took 2 bottles for the front yard and 2 bottles for the backyard but that was a small price to pay for the outcome! We can eat outside in peace and watch the birds and squirrels all day now and playing with my 3 year old in the sprinkler for the last 4 days for a few hours at a time and I walked away with ONE mosquito bite!!! This stuff is BEYOND amazing and I plan to continue with the upkeep and use 1 bottle for front/back every 6 weeks to be on the safe side! I feel like I got my life back! Lol

As a former Pest Control Professional, Bifenthrin (the active ingredient in this product) is a long established and highly effective insecticide. You won’t find a pest control company that doesn’t use Bifenthrin as part of their PC program. It is used indoors (as a liquid spray), outdoors as “border control”, and in turf grass (granular or liquid) to control dozens of insects. In the south, Chinch Bugs are perhaps our biggest turf grass enemy- particularly in St Augustine grass, and Bifenthrin is highly effective (especially as part of a 1-2 punch described in more detail below)
Ortho BugClear is one of the best values for Bifen (for short) even compared to their own competing product “Lawn Insect Killer”. BugClear has nearly DOUBLE the Bifen, and is labeled to cover 1.5″+ times the square feet of turf, yet is priced comparably. In other words, if you choose the “Lawn Insect Killer” from Ortho, you are spending nearly twice as much!
Now, the 1-2 punch for Chinch bugs. Cyhalothrin in combination with Bifen. Cyhalothrin comes in various formulations (Gamma, Lambda), but I am too far removed from my PC days to even know the differences, but don’t get hung up on that. It is classified as a micro-encapsulated insecticide and is also very effective indoors and out for control of a multitude of insects. It is available in many OTC products including Spectracide Triazicide (the best value I have found OTC) in both liquid and granular. For Chinch bugs, I alternate between the granular and liquid versions of Cyhalothrin and Bifen four times a year. Chinch bugs are a summer problem, but this punch is highly effective against fire ants, Mole Crickets, somewhat for grubs, and other fall/winter pests. (white grubs are a whole other issue and you want a product with an active ingredient like Imidacloprid (a synthesized nicotine product) to catch them in the spring while the June Beetles are laying their eggs in your yard).
Alternate the 1-2 granular approach 3-4 times a year in your lawn, and 90% or more of the pests you fight won’t have a chance, and you can control them with these OTC products for an entire year for less than a month or two of a lawn professional (who will likely be using the same active ingredient products). If you have a large yard, explore some of the retailers that offer “pro grade” products for sale to anyone in most states, but for most, this insect control program will do the job for a relatively low cost with products available on Amazon, or your local home improvement store.

I would first like to say that I am generally against chemical insecticides as they kill indiscriminately BUT it was this or continue to allow my flowers to be ravaged by earwigs. I tried every home remedy available and after the rain we have been receiving I couldn’t stop the earwigs no matter how many traps I placed or how much diatomaceous earth I used. This stuff right here works wonders! My flowers are back in full swing after a week and I couldn’t be more happy about that. I was careful to not spray the flowers themselves to save the pollenators and I’m sad that the rest of the insects died too. But it did exactly what I needed it to do, earwigs are dead flowers are thriving.

I purchased this to get rid of outside bugs, and it did. I sprinkled the granules around the perimeter of the house, covering about six to eight feet width from the edge of the house outward. I also put it in flowerbeds.
Then the day after I used the garden hose to spray the granules down, there must have been hundreds of dead little black beetles scattered around my back patio. It got rid of the bugs for sure. But I also noticed, so far this year, no little black ants have come into my house to explore the kitchen counter. I will have to reapply after a certain time period according to the directions, so I bought another bag.
This product works well.
