I was looking for a toaster for my elderly mother. All she wanted was a basic, no frills, toaster that would toasts both sides of the bread. This toaster had good reviews and a good price, so I figured it would suite her purposes just fine. When she opened the toaster, she saw that the knob to choose your desired toast time was broken and sitting in the bottom of the box. She tried to put it back on, but she couldn’t. I inspected the toaster to see if I could help and we noticed that the metal circuit board on the inside of the toaster was broken. A large corner of it was completely missing, not even in the box! (To say that I am angry would be an understatement.) I am SO thankful that she didn’t try to plug it in. She could have been electrocuted or started a kitchen fire. My advice is throw an extra ten bucks towards a GOOD toaster. Even if this hadn’t arrived broken, it was still very poorly made with cheap, thin plastic and it didn’t even stand well by itself. Nothing like a wobbly, cheap, broken toaster to start your morning. Sigh. Spring for a good toaster from a name brand you trust and please skip buying this one.
