I cannot overstate how tiny this thing is. The dimensions don’t do it justice. The drawers are barely deep enough for a standard pad of post-its. You can just barely force something that’s 1 inch tall into the drawers; that doesn’t sound too bad until you start trying to put things into the drawers and remember how small an inch is…

Samsung buds? Nope. Pixel buds? Almost. Varies by drawer, but over time you’ll end up scuffing the case. 18650 flashlight? Only the slimmest of brands fits. Screwdrivers? Varies by brand, best to stick with small electronics or jewelry drivers. Tape measure? Sure, a keychain one. Moisturizer or hand sanitizer? A couple brands’ travel sizes fit, many do not. A deck of cards? Okay, that fits, but there’s no space for stacking anything else.

A couple coiled USB cables nearly fills a drawer! A few flash drives and USB-C to headphone adapters leave just enough space for a tiny case of microSD cards. And don’t expect to get to stuff in the back of a crowded drawer without pulling out all the stuff in front – the rear quarter of an open draw remains covered by the drawer above it, and the top drawer is even worse.

All of that being said… I really like it! I’ve had to rethink what I’m going to keep in it (and whether I can even find a use for all of the drawers), but it looks fantastic and is absolutely solid. There’s a little wear in the hinges, but everywhere else is beautifully painted. It’s heavy, clearly made of steel stout enough for the light duty use its small size dictates. You can magnet things to it all over. Drawers all include liners as does the top compartment (3-drawer model) and top surface (5-drawer model. This liner is glued down while the rest are loose but cut perfectly to size so they don’t shift around). The magnetic “latches” have a satisfying snap to them and hold things shut with more force than I expected. The only part of these that could be argued is “cheap” is the trim on the front edges (and top edges on the 3-drawer model); it’s plastic and shows some stress whitening where it transitions from the front edges to the top edges on the 3-drawer model, but is cut perfectly to size and firmly riveted in place.

These are made for snap on mico boxes. Made of good quality. Bought as a gift for a jewelry box and she loved it. Saved atleast 50% by buying on Amazon vs snap on. The dimension is in the description. Are people just buying a $80 tool box and expecting a full size tool box to show up. Read and make sure you know what you are buying. Cant wait to get one for myself!

Edit. Bought the bottom box to have matching complete tool bad and they don’t fit perfectly. The top box is wider and deeper that the bottom

At $50. It’s really not worth it. But I would buy these again. Cool factor and particular application, they fit me fine. I know my three son will fighting for these when I’m gone.

I didn’t see the fine print. I thought I was getting a real toolbox, this is merely a toy, it’s nothing more than a jewelry box. A complete joke!!!! If you’re buying this as a toolbox, think again. It should read FisherPrice on the label

This was way smaller than i thought it was. That is however on me for not paying attention to product dimensions. Still found a good use for it to hold some small stuff in the garage and got a good laugh out of it.

Great little tool box, I hope they offer the bottom box for sale soon. Many years ago I had a SnapOn box that looked a lot like this one. This is perfect for all the tools I use in reloading. I noticed some people were concerned that it doesn’t have roller bearing drawers. These drawers aren’t large enough to require roller bearings. Roller bearings are installed on larger and wider tool boxes to support the weight of the tools in the drawer. By installing roller bearings on this small almost novelty tool box, it would raise the price considerably. Back in the day if you were buying a new or even used tool box with roller bearings you were spending a small fortune. The sliders do need to be lubricated to maintain a smooth function. I will probably use Dielectric grease but some people use sil glide, or white lithium grease. My first MAC tool box just had sliders top and bottom and they needed to be cleaned lubricated monthly. I think a lot of seasoned mechanics will find this box irresistible. If I was still wrenching I would have bought one for work as well. I really hope the 5 drawer bottom box becomes available soon.
    7/15/23 Update
I see the other colors are available except the 5 drawer red. Does anybody know if they are on the way, or did they sell out already since red was offered first?

Just got the red 5 drawer bottom box and it is a 1/4″ smaller than the top box. It just doesn’t look right. I will post photos later. I contacted customer service and I will update soon.

The frame is a little crooked (angles are a bit odd, not exacly 90) which is causing a bit of a gap with the folding door. I use it as my pencil case for school, I like how smooth the drawers are opening and closing. can’t really tell the difference with the snap-on one. Overall i’ll give it a 4 out of 5 for the small angle defects which are to be expected for the cheap price. Also the paint seems to be scratching fairly easily.

I really like this toolbox because of its extremely compact size. I fit all of my watchmaking tools in there, and it stows away very nicely on my countertop. It’s very well constructed out of good materials. I think it’s going to last a lifetime. I don’t understand the bad reviews because of its size. It shows very clearly in the description how tiny it is and what it’s purpose is, it’s just not fair to give negative reviews to something that works perfectly and would’ve been perfect for you if you had read the description. It’s very easy to use and very sturdy. The drawers slide nicely and it’s a good value for the money.
