Although we always try to remove batteries before storing to avoid the corrosion issue the other two big brands are known for, the Panasonic batteries have never failed and the discharge rate is as good as any. I’m one to match battery brand for it’s intended usage – cameras drain faster that let’s say a remote and some brands perform better with some tasks than others. Panasonic struck a perfect balance and they have been our go to battery since 2017. The platinum battery seems to be leak and corrosion proof, but I’m not sure about the lesser expensive Panasonic batteries.

The first thing I did was checking every single battery for expiration date. The expiration is 01/2030 for all batteries. The batteries are seems new and in high quality materials. Will update if there is any issue but I don’t expect any. Great price!!!

I got these recently when we ran out of the copper top ones and they seem to be of equal or better quality. They are fresh and seem to power everything that we have put them in quite nicely. Their longevity seems to be on-par with the copper top ones and the others that keep going, and going, and going. The main reason that I switched is that I am tired of batteries leaking into my devices and other reviews seem to indicate that these won’t leak as frequently, but it is still too early to comment on that aspect. Overall, good price and they seem like good batteries.

This is my third batch of these batteries. They last as long as any others I have tried, and I have never had them leak, even after 4 or 5 years in some devices.
I used Rayovacs for 20 years without a single issue, But since 2019 or so, about half would leak after just a few months, while still being fully charged! Some while still in the package unused. I think Energizer (current owner) changed something.
