Bought this to replace a smaller card in my Moto G Stylus 5G (2023). Easy to install and now that all my data is transferred from the old card (a fairly slow process even using a wired connection), the new card is working flawlessly. Excellent card for the money.

It was super cheap and works great so far. I’m not going to claim this is the best sd card ever but for my uses and at the price point, it was perfect. I installed it in a cheap side yard camera. The camera itself is pretty low performance so it didn’t need a super fancy card anyway. The only thing I’m concerned about is the failure rate but so far so good. Will update if this card dies on me

I normally use Samsung cards. They tend to be the fastest, most reliable, but not always the cheapest. After realizing I needed a second 256GB card after having just bought one at $45 dollars, I find the price went up to $50 within 48 hrs. Call me stubborn and cheap, but I looked for a better deal.
This was about $35, and is advertised with the same or similar specs as the Evo Select cards with a $10-$15 dollar (less) price difference. Unfortunately, a lot of reviews suggest duds or failures are common, so I never felt inclined to purchase one before due to the idea of data loss. However, I’m using this in a tablet, not my phone, and the data will be replaceable so I decided to give it a try.
I used an Anker usb 3.0 adapter on a USB 3.0 port via an Asus Maximus ROG VIII (iirc) mobo running Win10 Pro transferring from an internal mechanical archive drive. Not the fastest drive, but a one way will give top speeds in the 100MB/s range easy.
I tested it with 195GB worth the data to check capacity authenticity and average (stable) write speeds. Capicity is authentic, no data corruption. Write speeds averaged 66MB/s, dropping to 54MB/s and back (lots of dip and peak, not a solid stable 66MB/s most of the time) with a max peak at 102MB/s for a couple seconds at the start of a transfer. Considering I get 60-76MB/s with the Evo Select cards, I’d say this passes my tests with flying colors. I didn’t have the patience to test the read speeds, nor to use a benchmark tool. What Windows reports back is enough info for my purposes as I’m not reviewing this professionally, I’m just a consumer looking for reliability at an affordable price whom is inclined to share his findings with others so as they can make an informed choice.
Now, we wait. Some reviews are suggesting failure at the 30-78 day range, well out of return period. I don’t know what Patriot’s warranty service is like, and hopefully I won’t have to find out. If after two months this thing is still kranking, I’ll be back with a 5th star. Hopefully I won’t be back with a report of failure.
If you’re going to be dropping this into a tablet for movies or something, go for it. If you’re going to use it in your phone where data reliability is a concern (pics of the kids and family is a big one for me), read the user reviews here, read some professional reviews, and make an informed choice before you buy.

I have my Samsung Evo 256GB card and this Patriot 256GB card side by side in Windows (10) and my capacity is listed as 232GB VS 238GB on the Samsung, both are exFAT. Where are the other 6 gigs? I won’t even get started on these card/drive manufacturers claiming “formatting” is why you end up with 232GB of usable space and not the advertised 256GB (again, where are the other 24GB?!). I won’t dock it a star for this, the card has actually been performing as well as my Evo card. Just keep an eye on your reported capacities.

This is good card and I do not have any problem so far. I tested with H2testw and it passed with flying colors. The best part is that it is not made in China.
