Aรฑade mucho color al set, se puede usar como main o side, demasiado ataque y volumen para su tamaรฑo. El รบnico pero que le pongo es la palanca del entorchado, no es de muy buena calidad.

I’m an American Hispanic, I play timbales, salsa music, but when looking for a snare down it had to be pearl, because all other companies make snare downs, but I remember when growing up here in New York City, I used to watch Don’s Kirshner Rock Concert, and one thing I remember that when a rock band plays rock they usually only use a drummer, and I feel that the most important drum for them is their snare drum, in no way am I speaking bad about salsa, I have played it my whole life for 47 years, but I grew up listening to rock bands, salsa bands and every other type of bands, Pearl has been around for a very long time, plus Pearl Rocks, this is a real snare drum and I will use it in a salsa band. God Bless America and salsa and rock. Need I say that this is a great snare drum. ffsalsa/ff.

Pros: The short fuse in my opinion is a great little addition to any kit. I love that it has a mount on the side of the shell and also comes with an L-rod and clamp for mounting purposes. I love the size of it and the depth. It’s easily mountable and fits in tight spaces. It gives you a very nice crack and also substitutes for a higher toned timbale when the strainer is off. I think that is a plus when used with the right genre of music.
Cons: The only thing in my opinion is that rhe strainer is whack!! It’s bent and also the parts aren’t completely fixated. I think they’re asking a bit much for this drum given it has an almost unusable strainer system. With the strainer not being very well put together, it tends to pull the wires off center a bit. That could be a problem.
All in all I ordered a new batter and reso head and replaced the stock heads. I also ordered a puresound blaster series set of wires. It sounds 10x better given the head changes and the snare wire change. The nylon strips that come with the puresound snare wires allow it to be tightened down better so that the strainer isn’t as loose and is somewhat operational. With some adjustments you can make the wires hit center of the head. All in all a good drum, but a bit lacking in quality. I don’t it should be priced for over $100. But the given mount and L-rod counter balance that off. Four stars for me.

Ok- so itโs MIT (Taiwan) and less expensive. Got it as a Warehouse Deal- changed the batter head to a Remo Ambassador, adjusted snare tension. Cranked it tight, didn’t even tune the resonant head and gives excellent response. Even rimshots ring well. Attached it to a Pearl 900 series long adjustable L shaped cymbal arm and mounted sideways through a 14โ jungle bass drum lug. Eliminates a snare stand and drum sits atop, slightly left of the double bass drum pedal. Awaiting an 8โ micro tom that attaches on to the hi hat stand to finish my jungle 4 piece kit. Floor tomโs an old Pearl Export rack tom with its bottom head/rim removed, mounted on the crash/ride cymbal stand with a stand clamp and mount arm.
Beats hauling my 5 piece Yamaha Stage Custom around and sounds fuller than most portable style kits. Perfect for smaller gigs and can use an overhead and bass drum mics as a minimalist boost for bigger venues.

i used my friends drum set to play and what not, the old snare he had unfortunately got stolen with his truck…
so at that time i thought ill get any snare i could afford no matter how crappy, searched online for a few days and
saw this snare within my price range, i bought it, it shipped pretty fast and was soon at my house, all i did was
a bit of adjusting with the stock heads and i got really amazing tones out of this snare, after wearing out the stock
head ive putย
Evans Hybrid Coated Snare Batter Drum Head, 14 Inch
and a hazyy 300 snare side,
and i got to tell ya one of most amazing sounds ive heard come out of snare, would definitely buy from Pearl again

I love this snare, it has a crisp sound and plays nicely without a lot of overtones. The heads that come on it are pretty good and I didn’t have to do much tuning to get a tone i liked. One thing I really like is the mount that it comes with because it doesn’t require it’s own stand. I play a double bass kit and considered going to a single bass to close the gap between my hi-hats and snare…I mounted this snare to my hi-hat stand and it made the kit come to life like never before! I can easily move my leg below the snare to use the double bass. I like the sound of it enough that I use it as my main snare and use my 14″ for accents. It would be a great snare to use in a fusion kit or on the road for smaller venues.

Para mi gusto suena bastante bien y a pesar de sus dimensiones se escucha muy fuerte, su sonido sobrepasa al resto de los tambores ๐ค

Spend little more and get a better snare.
Iโve tuned if, changed the wire, nothing, absolutely nothing. Donโt waste your money

As advertised, quick delivery

Great sound! Nice rich pop. The head that comes with it is ok, but I recommend getting an Evans g2 head for it. It is the perfect add on for my kit and I’m very happy with my purchase.
